FOURTH OF JULY HOURS
We will be closed Thursday and Friday for Independence Day. If your pet will be needing any food or medication (especially to stay calm during the fireworks!), please contact us at (931)352-1120 so we can get that to you before our closure. We WILL be open Saturday, July 6 for walk-in hours from 8-11am.

SWEET SUMMERTIME
Temperatures are hot, hot, hot all throughout the Upper Cumberland! With that comes the risk of your pet getting HEAT STROKE. Keep a close eye on your furry friends and familiarize yourself with these symptoms. If you think your pet may be experiencing heat stroke, seek veterinary care immediately. Thank you for helping us keep your pets safe this summer!

HELLO? HELLO? IS ANYONE THERE?

We have an important update for all of our incredible clients out there! We have improved our phone system, so it will sound a bit different when you call, but don't despair, it is still us!!! You'll now have an option to link directly to reception, pharmacy, or to a nurse mailbox to ensure that your message doesn't get lost in the hustle and bustle of things. This will also free up our receptionists to be able to better assist our clients up front. Any messages received before 3pm will be returned the same day, and any received after 3pm will be returned the next business day.

Thank you for your support as we strive to communicate with you better! As always, we have the best clients and are so grateful for all of you!

PROHEART 12

We are now carrying a product at the BVC that we are so excited about! If your pets hate taking their monthly oral heartworm preventatives, this my be a product you are interested in. ProHeart 12 is a once-a-year injection that provides prevention against heartworms for your dog! We now carry this injection in-clinic. If you are interested in ProHeart 12, give us a call or ask about it at your dog's next appointment.

* PLEASE NOTE *
- ProHeart 12 is a prescription medication. This means that your dog must have an active yearly exam with us in order to receive it.
- Like with oral preventatives, we do require a negative heartworm test in order to have ProHeart 12 administered. This is for the safety of your pet.
- ProHeart 12 is a heartworm preventative only. It does not cover intestinal parasites (tapeworms, whipworms, roundworms, etc.)

RABIES CLINIC TOMORROW!

One final reminder that we will have our once-a-year Rabies clinic TOMORROW from 8am-noon! Because of this, we WILL NOT be open for walk-ins tomorrow. But bring your pets on out to get an affordable Rabies vaccine with no exam required for this one day only!

RABIES CLINIC THIS SATURDAY

Our annual Rabies clinic is THIS SATURDAY, May 18 from 8am-noon! Rabies vaccines will be given for $11 and will not require an exam for this day only.

Your pet is required by law to have a Rabies vaccine. It is required that a Rabies vaccine is given by a veterinarian. Normally this would mean that your pet has to be examined by a veterinarian in order to be given the Rabies vaccine, but the Department of Health allows us to administer Rabies vaccines without an exam for this one day. We do ask that your pet be on a leash or in a carrier for their safety as well as the safety of our staff and other clients and pets.

As you know, we love our babies at the BVC! So we are absolutely thrilled to introduce you to the newest addition to our clinic family! Miss Elody Nemea was born on Friday, February 9 to one of our longtime techs, Kyrua. She is perfectly squishable and we cannot wait to meet her! Congratulations to Kyrua and Tyler!

BIG, BIG NEWS!!!!! MONDAYS ARE NOW WALK-IN DAYS!

We are so excited to announce that Mondays at Bluegrass Vet are now WALK-IN DAYS from 8:30am-3pm!!! Our new weekly schedule will look like this:

Monday: Walk-in hours from 8:30am-3pm
Tuesday-Thursday: By appointment only
Friday: Walk-in hours from 8:30am-3pm
1st and 3rd Saturdays of the month: Walk-in hours from 8-11am

If you have an existing appointment on a Monday in February, then that appointment will be honored. If you have an existing appointment on a Monday after February, then one of our staff should have been in touch to reschedule that appointment.

TODAY (FRIDAY, JANUARY 19) - OPEN FROM 10AM-3PM

Well, friends, some of our staff was able to make it to the clinic today, but with dropping temperatures and already sketchy roads, we are going to go ahead and CLOSE for tomorrow.

If your pet needs to be seen, come on in today. We will stop taking walk-ins at 3pm to make sure our staff gets home safe and sound.

Well, folks, the snow may be stopping but roads are still horrible and temperatures are staying down. Because we love you all as well as our staff, most of whom live on back roads, we will be staying closed tomorrow. If you have an appointment scheduled, you should have been contacted by one of our staff members.
