Lapis is Pending.
I think she has found a wonderful new home.
If we don’t find the perfect pet home, she will stay here until ideal circumstances can be found, for her. Her happiness and wellbeing are my first priority.
Lapis is currently 2 yrs old (will turn 3 at the end of this month), SPAYED and microchipped. She is very healthy and is current on vet care, parasite prevention and vaccinations.
She is very well behaved, has excellent manners, walks politely on a leash and knows some basic obedience.
She is a dominate girl with other female dogs, but does well with neutered, lower energy, respectful males.
She is very clingy! She is super lovable and affectionate with all people, and does well with gentle children, but she will pick out one person that is her very favorite. She does enjoy antlers and other safe chew toys. She is lower energy, likes play time and sun bathing outside, but prefers to be on the couch and/ or bed with her human. She absolutely loves attention and treats. Chicken, cheese, and bites of lean beef are her favorites.
She is fair-weather potty trained with a doggie door, but it will take some time for her to learn to let someone know when she needs to potty. She does hate rain.
She is not a watch dog. She will sometimes let you know when someone’s at the door, but is affectionate and friendly, once you invite them in. Overall, she is a quiet girl and very rarely barks. She will sometimes make a soft, low yodel sound and dance with her front feet if she thinks you have possibly forgotten her dinner or you are late with her dinner.
She has never been around cats but I think she might do well with a cat if introduced properly, because she is low energy and she does enjoy the company of a “fur friend”.
We have only decided to part with her because I feel she would be happier with a better human to dog ratio, than she currently has.
Her ideal home would be one where she is the the only female dog, maybe has a submissive brother, and no children under 10. Somewhere where she will get lots of time and attention, and will not be left alone for long periods of time during the day.
She is only available to an approved pet home. Verifiable vet references will be required. A potential home would have to agree to return her to us, if her new home doesn’t work out.
Located in Sparta, Tn
She will be available September 6.
She will not be shipped.
She must be picked up in person.
She is not free.
