These siblings could cause a ruckus very quickly. Taking them out together to potty before training began was like trying to wrangle in two wild monkeys. They were so interested and distracted with one another, they forgot why we came outside. We would introduce other distractions but they were way more interested in one another. We used this to our advantage. Once they learned the commands individually, we did them together and they nailed them all! Good job Ollie & Freddie!

This big boy has been well socialized and was so sweet from day one. Like typical Great Danes, he used us as his leaning poles. He still has some growing to do and his owners didn’t want his size or strength to get in the way of his safety. They did a great job with him as a puppy and I know their consistent follow-through will keep him on top of his game. Great job, Bishop!

In the kennel, Rafe could be very reactive. He was here by breeders request to help solidify some of these reactions towards other dogs and people. We taught him the commands and then took him out to public. He did well but is definitely a dog where the training must be consistent because this dog will take a mile if you give him an inch. This pretty girl grew up fast! We had her as a puppy and her biggest challenge was pulling and walking on a leash. She was intrigued by new people, dogs, smells and moving things like bikes. Even though we send weekly video updates, what our clients don’t see are the amount of reps we do over and over to teach and make sure the dogs understand the foundation of the commands. Lots of parties are thrown when the light bulb goes off! So proud of this girl, Freya!

Mango was very timid. Although training can increase confidence and create clear expectations and boundaries, it does not always change temperament. Mango is friendly but also slow to new things and surroundings. We taught mango that the one thing that didn’t change was the commands and follow through. She is a fan of Jamie and loves the extra attention and snuggles she gave! Congratulations mango!

Lucious was our wild child. A very well bred dog that had the drive to work. If you don’t know how to let him “work”, his energy can be destructive. He has a great relationship with his owner and she did a phenomenal job learning how to be consistent with his training at home. He is dog reactive and thinks he is in charge. It was important for him to engage with his owner and see where the true reward resides. Good job Lu!

Tux is another repeat client this class. Once this dog knows you, he gets excited when you come in the room. He likes to get ahead of you when heeling and look at all the things. We reminded tux what the reward can look like when he chooses to engage with us first. Tux is polite and even knows how to down with his legs crossed. We are going to miss this handsome guy! What do you get when you breed a Great Dane and mastiff? Chloe! This giant girls heart is as big as her size! However, when it gets to the point that only the males in the family can walk her because of her strength and pulling, that can be a problem. Chloe has learned heeling position and that size doesn’t matter. Congratulations sweet girl!

Pete, the most handsome bloodhound came as a referral. We all know his biggest distraction was his nose. If he was on a scent, forget the recall or anything else for that matter.
