Like many, our team members are looking for a way to help serve the community, and our neighbors in Asheville and the surrounding areas. Both Pet’s Favorite Vet in Boiling Springs and Pet’s Favorite Play Place in Spartanburg will be accepting donations for transportation to Hendersonville, Asheville, and surrounding areas. Our collection will start today Oct 7th, and continue as long as needed. Please share with your family and friends so we can help as many of our neighbors in need as possible.
The greatest needs at this time are NEW underwear and socks in original packaging (any size). NEW or VERY gently used blankets - especially King and Queen sizes - sheets, and towels. NEW or VERY gently used fall/winter clothing. Non perishable food items such as boxes of cereal, canned proteins such as chicken, tuna, ham, turkey, etc., and oatmeal. Dry or canned dog and cat food, bleach and cleaning products. Generators (2000w-2500w), Garmin inReach Satellite Messengers, Starlinks, chainsaws, hazmat suits, work gloves, 5 gallon buckets, flashlights, batteries, camping stoves, diapers & wipes, charcoal, and propane gas tanks.
They also need bottled water, baby formula, hand sanitizer, paper towels, toilet paper, first aid supplies, feminine hygiene and personal hygiene products such as soap, shampoo, toothpaste, toothbrushes, etc., collapsible dog crates, contractor trash bags, tarps, blankets, towels, shovels, brooms, coolers, masks, gas cook stoves, candles, matches, and lighters.
Comfort items such as books, dog toys, small games, stuffed bears, coloring books, and puzzles are also appreciated.
We are unable to accept donations of perishable foods, or human or animal prescription medications of any kind at our facilities.
