It’s time for Heartworm and Vaccine Clinic – join us today, Monday, September 9th from 4:00-6:00PM.
Please get your dog tested for heartworm disease and get it on monthly prevention. OR we offer a 6-month shot for $50 (dogs 70 lbs. and under) and $60 for (dogs over 70 lbs.) that takes the worry of remembering each month for 6 whole months! We also offer heartworm prevention by the month or buy 6 months and get one free or buy 12 months and get 2 months for free!
Heartworm disease is deadly and it can come from 1 mosquito bite so please get your dogs on prevention! We live in the land of the mosquito! Treatment is expensive and very hard on your dog so it is much easier to prevent it than to treat it.
Show up Monday, no appointment necessary and get your Heartworm test, get your heartworm and flea prevention and get your other vaccines too!

Check out the smile on this Foxy girl. Hint the name😏. Meet Foxy. This sweet girl has been with us far too long. She's a 5 year old pit mix. She's sweet, playful, housebroken. It don't get much better then that. Only thing about Miss. Foxy is she prefers to be the only fur child. But she's got so much love to give that's all you need is her. Foxy is a layed back smaller size sweety who loves to go for walks an has little playful moments and then it's back to lounging around. It's past time for this sweet girl to find her furever home. Come meet Foxy at the Spartanburg Humane Society she's the easiest girl to fall in love with🥰🐾
Turbo is a volunteer favorite at Spartanburg Humane Society. He's about 7 yrs old. Turbo is so affectionate towards everybody, and enjoys his fetch time outside with the volunteers. And we all love him. Please ck out this Retriver Mix at SHS. He has been at SHS for 2 yrs, this Sept. That's a long time to live in a kennel. Please stop by for a visit. He's so fun.
Roxy has been at the Spartanburg Humane Society several years now. She's very easy to leash, walk and handle. You will most likely need to take some time introducing yourself. She's still a bit leary of new friends. But it doesn't take long for her to overcome her fears, if you have a treat. Thus the reason she and I have joined Weight Watchers. Call SHS, 864 583 4805 to make a date with Roxy. Bring food.

For the ENTIRE month of February, ALL PROCEEDS from this amazing crêpe will go directly to the animals at the Spartanburg Humane Society! Our hats are off to Tate Meatworks too for donating the incredible sausage that will be used in this amazing dish. As you know, this exclusive restaurant is only open Wednesdays through Sundays, 8:00AM until 2:00PM so do not delay in heading out there to enjoy a fabulous meal AND help the animals too! We really appreciate this amazing restaurant reaching out to help the animals, so all we need is you to push this out to your friends! Let’s knock their socks, well berets off, at the restaurant!
ADOPTION UPDATE! The adventures of AXEL! Couple weeks late but- the Siberian land shark took over greenwood on Halloween and placed his own order for a snowcone😂
A huge thank you to South Carolina Search & Rescue Dog Association for coming out and doing a demonstration for our camp kids! The handler had one of our campers carry a piece of gauze for a little bit, then return it to the handler. Then the camper went and hid behind a tree while the handler kept the k9’s attention. Then the K9 went and tracked our camper off of just the gauze!
Drum roll please! We had our drawing for the Dog Guard of SC full pet containment system and the winner is..?? Joy Bobo
ADOPTION UPDATE! Flower is very much enjoying her new home. My new hobby is taking pictures/videos in the various ways she falls asleep. She is quite the character and it’s amazing how far her personality has grown since bringing her home. I’m sure no one was surprised that I foster failed but I remember being terrified as I’ve never had my own dog before but I had such a strong connection with her. I tried to play it safe by fostering her but she quickly stole my heart. She’s such a good girl and we both are just obsessed with each other.

Huge Thank you to Peach Rail Tavern & Hatchet House, LLC Wonderful event, filled with extremely generous people. Everyone had a great time and helped the animals too! Thank you to everyone who donated and showed up for the axe throwing too! The Trevor Lawrence helmet went to the highest bidder at almost $600! That will definitely buy lots of dog and cat food!
ADOPTION UPDATE! Hello! We adopted Abe on Saturday and just wanted to say thank you for allowing us to adopt him. He has settled in and is loving his new surroundings. He and Lucy are having the best time. Also, I wanted to especially thank Greg, Emily, and the other girl who was training, her name is escaping me. They were so helpful and spent so much time with us. We are so thankful.
