Foxy is one of our longest residents and has been in and out of the shelter since 2020. Foxy is a very self assured girl, and has a strong personality. She loves meeting new people, and her entire chunky body will surely make you chuckle when you see her wiggle with excitement. She's a very affectionate gal, and her love language is definitely physical touch. Foxy does have a very hard time sharing attention and love. We feel Foxy would thrive in a home where she is the only pet, and a house that has teenagers and up.

We are open for adoptions Monday-Saturday 12pm-6pm. Come out and meet Foxy!

GOOD MORNING! We are open for our regular hours of operation (12pm-6pm) for people who are interested in adopting one of our animals.

OR you can chat with one of our adoption counselors about the size and personality of an animal you might be interested in.

As a reminder for intake, we are still beyond capacity on space and have no available kennels. We are currently operating on wait list for intake of animals.

Meet Meadow. A short girl who's personality doubles her size. She is playful and loves to go on walks. Meadow missed out on some of those crucial puppy training years, as she's been with us since the end of 2023 and just turned two years old. Even though she is nippy at the leash, Meadow is incredibly smart and very responsive to training. We feel she'd thrive in a home with teens or adults who could keep up with her active life style. She'd love to meet any potential dog siblings here at the shelter for a meet and greet.

We received this pair of 11 year old cats because their owner died. Rascal and Layla have been together their whole lives and will need to be adopted together. Described as couch potatoes, quiet, friendly, affectionate, shy, indoors, litter boxed trained.
Please come by and meet these cuties during our adoption hours Monday through Saturday 12:00 to 6:00. No appointment is needed.

ADOPTION UPDATE! Long time resident Rosie (entered shelter August 2023) found her forever home yesterday. New owner says:

She seems to be adapting pretty well. Brought her outside multiple times to use bathroom and she has. She had the zoomies this morning running around tail was wagging and everything. Just thought I would let you know. She seems happy and content very relaxed dog.

Here's a volunteer favorite at Spartanburg Humane Society. She's a 2 yr old, Terrier Mix. At present, she is working with Wofford students learning her basic commands. She's a very loveable, playful girl. She enjoys playing fetch, and going on long walks, so a young active couple or older teen would make a perfect match for Tatiana. Thank you so much to the tennis teams at Converse University for the donation of some well-loved tennis balls for our dogs and cats! These balls will make great fetch toys for our dogsvand toys to roll around and play with for our cats.

ADOPTION UPDATE!

Good morning! We adopted Ruby, now Millie, on Wednesday this week. What a SMART and fun loving little girl. She is very food/treat motivated and already knows how to sit when she is fed or gets a treat. She also is very observant and has already started learning how to walk on a leash following her big brother and sister. She has a big fenced in back yard to run and play in and has worn herself out playing the past two days. We have taken her for a small car ride every day so that she’s used to traveling, and today she’s getting her first bath. Here are some photos -
