What a great success! And not possible without the hard work and dedication of Ride or Die Brotherhood. All of us from the humane society would like to thank each and everyone involved, from the advertisers, organizers, donors, participants and everyone in between. The funds raised will get us closer to getting a company vehicle to transport our furry critters to appointments.

Don’t forget about Sweetie and KC! They came in from a neglected situation, both females are looking for a permanent home. They have just had their dental work done, nails trimmed and vaccinated. Sweetie(cream) is still having her rear leg limp diagnosed, but excited to be feeling better after her tooth extractions.

Aero and Ace will be here tomorrow at lunch time. We wish them and the officer safe travels from Williston, ND. We had a surprise visit today from someone who has paid for the cost of getting them neutered and vaccinated. Thank you so so much for your generosity. The next item on the agenda is a permanent home! If you would like to meet them please call us to make arrangements with their foster family.

Meet Melly and Batman, both Chihuahuas. Melly (cream) is about 5 yrs old, spayed female and Batman is 10 yrs old and neutered male. They are sweet little guys although Batman seems a bit nervous at first and more layed back. Melly is a go getter and wants to say hi to everyone. They are both looking for a forever home, but don’t necessarily have to go together.

Courtesy post: meet Lady, she is 1.5 years old Shepard/chow mix. She is spayed and up to date on vaccines. She is looking to be rehomed in a home without cats. She loves kids and does fine with other dogs. Please reach out to us for the owners number if you can provide a loving home for her.

We have a single bottle baby kitten coming in today. Its cord is still attached and found in the rain last night, rapid city. If you’re able to commit to its care please reach out to us. Feedings and stimulation are needed every 2-3 hours.

These two giants have not been claimed and are now residence and up for adoption. We have named them Duke (black) and Baron ( bicolor). Duke came in limping on his front leg and now that he’s under our care, his exam wasn’t as expected. His X-ray shows his elbow is causing him significant pain. Continued test of a bone sample will tell us which of 3 causes that are being seen. Cancer, fungus, degenerative bone, the 3rd is slowly being ruled out. If confirmed cancer or fungus he will need his leg amputated. We will keep you updated on his situation. As always any help we can get to cover these expenses will be greatly appreciated.

GUESS WHAT? We have a foster!! Heath and Amber from Signature Auto (Spearfish) have graciously opened their home to foster Ace and Aero. We are finalizing the details and will keep you updated. We are still looking for a forever home for them. Please make a point to reach out to them to say thank you. Maybe buy your next car from them lol. Neither of the dogs have been neutered and if you’re willing to help make a donation to help cover that cost, please reach out to the shelter.

Meet Flash! He was wondering a construction site dragging his bag legs. His finder couldn’t get any help from other shelters and was told euthanasia was best. They couldn’t bring themselves to do that for Flash was otherwise healthy, happy and functioning. We have taken him in and seeking vet care. He doesn’t seem to be in pain and we’re waiting to hear from a specialist about a diagnoses and treatment. He does have wounds on his legs and a lesion on his back, all of which he’s receiving meds for and are healing nicely. We are always accepting donations to help us step in and save our animal friends. We have a PayPal link on our website, we also accept card/cash/check.

The little puppy from Sundance will be up for adoption tomorrow, he’s been named Gingerbread and will receive his first round of vaccines.

Gabby and Tucker were adopted!! Thank you Lori for fostering and taking good care of them. Another wonderful update on our other foster pups, Malteses Gabby and Tucker, they are doing great, and waiting for their forever family.

Our supporters must of heard that the puppies were needing chews toys as they were starting to chew on each other, someone brought chew toys and formula! Thank you.

Please adopt us! In case you forgot about these beauties....they are looking for their furever homes!! 🥰 They are currently in foster care and are the best babies and momma!! 💕💕 We would love it if the sisters could be adopted together or at least into a home with another youngish kitty looking for a friend! Momma also really loves to play with her kiddos, so a double adoption with her and one of her babies would be so awesome! They are so sweet!!!

We are having a 1/2 price Mother’s Day special this week on kitten adoptions. This will include shelter and foster kittens.

Meet Pin Cushion, a female hedgehog. We will be adopting her out but only to the right environment.

Matcha is doing great with her recovery! She’s not taking anymore meds and only has a bit of a struggle getting up and laying down. She does good with dogs, cats, and kids. She is still looking for her forever home.

Adopted Otis is our newest arrival and will be getting neutered tomorrow. He is a teacup chihuahua, 1 year old. He has limited teeth so will require soft foods. He is very skiddish of new people, and protective of his people and things. You’re welcome to fill out our online application or come in and fill one out and say hi.

Our little piggy family is growing up fast. We’ve had one baby spoken for and 4 more available. Mom and dad are also up for adoption, separately.

Adopted together! Bow and Snow were just brought in and are looking for their forever home. They are 2 year old siblings (male and female), fixed and vaccinated. They can be adopted separately. We aren’t sure of their breed, they are small lap dogs.

Boco (wobbly) has the toy playing figured out from his bed!

Meet Boco, this little boy (kitten) has made his way here from Rapid City. He is up for adoption but needs a little extra care as he suffers from Cerebellar Hypoplasia (wobbly kitten). His lack of coordination isn’t as bad as we’ve seen, his head sometimes takes him in circles, climbing up and down has been an event but he’s got it. He needs no help as he manages everything, just somewhere safe and someone to watch over him. Not outside! He has a very loud voice and has small outburst of yelling but nothing is hurting just his way of communicating
