We need a team member! Hours would be 8-1pm. Kennel staff will need to be able to work in all weather conditions to take dog of dogs 🐕 ❤️ Need reliable transportation and must be able to pick up a 50 # bag of dog food. Apply in person Wed, Thurs, Friday 12-5pm! 2014 W Romona Road, Spencer IN (Sorry no Monday times available)

Sharing JoJo's story - he recently passed away, hopefully returning to his originals owner's open arms. We are so thankful for our team of dedicated volunteers for helping him get to the shelter. And love and gratitude to Linda for giving him a loving home the last few years 🥰

Little Grant came in as a stray in town 🏡 he was a little hissy when you first opened his kennel but when you scratched behind the ears, he immediately started purring. Owen came in for his appointment completely prepared for taking care of a kitten. He came in to meet another kitten, but when Grant melted into his arms, and started purring, it was love at first sight 🥰 ❤️

The moment we've all been waiting for 🥰 Sweet Bama's siblings. These babies are 9 weeks old and ready for their forever homes. They are precious and perfect in every way. They have been in foster with dogs of all sizes, a cat, and a toddler. They've been loved on, played with, and have wonderful temperaments.

With all shelter pets, please remember to have patience as they adjust to a new home. Puppies will require training and time to transition from shelter life to home life.

If you’d like to meet one of these love bugs, start the adoption process by filling out an application online at ochumane.org. One of our volunteers will call you to answer questions and set up a meet and greet. Our normal call back times are Wed-Sat 12-5pm.
