📢 Attention Clients! Starting January 1st, 2025, we will have a change in operating hours. Our office will be closed on Wednesdays and we will have slightly extended hours until 2pm on Fridays.

Last month she started her distance learning program from Purdue to become a certified Veterinary Nurse, also called a Registered Veterinary Technician. This is a male black-legged tick, aka deer tick, that was found crawling on a staff member after a short visit with a dog today. The black-legged tick is the species of tick in Indiana that transmits Lyme disease. The #1 thing you can do to protect your dog from Lyme and other tick borne diseases is to keep them on a flea and tick preventative year round and consider vaccination. We know from seeing it first-hand that these diseases can be transmitted any month of the year.
