Wilbur came in today to start his puppy bootcamp. But, Wilbur isn't a puppy you say. He is 10 months old, and we are doing the bootcamp to get him started off right with being groomed.
We do it this way to keep the stress level low, because the first few times can be stressful when they don't understand what is going on, and what is expected of them. Wilbur was very happy and friendly the entire time...no stress. That's what we want and like.

Puppy bootcamp
4 sessions 1 week apart. First 3 visits they are taught proper table etiquette, and get familiar with the high force dryer and clippers run all over their body. 4th visit full bath and hair cut.
But Wilbur isn't a breed that will need a haircut....NO, but he is learning to accept them, because why not desensitized him to everything.

Maggie completed grooming training with us today. She has been with us for 8 weeks ( boy, how time flies). She did great and wasn't afraid to jump right in. She will be starting her own grooming business in Estherville,
"Paws Up Grooming." She is waiting on her state inspection, then she will be licensed and ready to take customers.
Hope and I are so proud of her.

We are putting a bow on this seasons Christmas pictures. Hope and I would like to thank everyone for trusting us with your special fur babies this past year. We wish you all a Merry and blessed Christmas.

We love how happy and excited our customers are to come and see us. Schooner, Bailey and Winnifred can't wait to come see us.

Meet Tucker. Tucker has been coming to K9 Designs since 2018. I (Beth) has been the only one to ever do him. Tucker does not have a mean bone in his body!!!!!! This is a case of he is used to me, I am his groomer and Hope is not. Dogs get so used to routine and the same people in THEIR routine it's hard for some to accept change. That's why we feel it is very important to not jump from groomer to groomer. That is hard on them. And a new dog coming to us will take longer for a couple of times because we are getting to know each other. Allow us to build that relationship. Please ignore the irritating voice.

When your doggie customers love coming to see you. This greeting is why we do what we do. To us it's not all about the hair, it's the relationship we develop with your pets.

It doesn't get much better than this. We have high standards and try our best to achieve it everyday we are working on your dogs. We love what we do!
