Titan 😍 a most handsome man came to see us this week. He was the sweetest and most loving cat! He even tolerated an extensive photo shoot (he was appropriately paid with treats and love) 🫶🏼

Today we got to see a real life teddy bear! Blaiz is a sweet little pomeranian with the sweetest smile! She always brightens our day! 🧸❤️

✨ We are very excited to welcome Dr. Vanessa Bernhardt to Erie Canal! She comes to us with great experience and we are lucky to have her available for general practice appointments and surgery beginning today. We have shared with her how wonderful our clients and patients are and she looks forward to meeting all of you. If you are in the office this week please join us in giving her a warm welcome! ✨

See her bio below:

Dr. Vanessa Bernhardt grew up in Palmyra, NY. This is where her passion for companion animals began while working as a veterinary assistant and receptionist through high school and during school breaks in her college years. She attended Elmira College and received a Bachelors degree in biology and history. She continued her education at the University of Minnesota and obtained a doctorate of veterinary medicine in 2015. Since receiving her degree, Dr. Bernhardt has been practicing in the Rochester area. Her special interests include nutrition, ultrasonography, surgery, and getting to know the clients and their pets.

Outside of the veterinary field Dr. Bernhardt spends her free time gardening, reading, cooking, and traveling. She especially enjoys being on the water in the summer in both power boats and crewing on her husband’s racing sailboat “Tachyon”. She and her husband share their home with their sweet guard cat named Laika, crazy delicate flower am staff named Colbie, and her 15lb “protector” fluffy terrier mix named McFly.
