Rufus is still on the search for his forever home!!🐾
This little hippo is around 6 years old and quite a handsome guy! If you remember, we initially pulled Rufus from the local shelter as he was suffering from some skin issues around his eyes. After some extra TLC in a foster home and medication, we are pleased to hear that Rufus seems to no longer have any eye issues! Even better, it’s a possibility he will not need eye drops continuously for the remainder of his life! We’re so happy this guy is feeling better!!
Rufus is a happy man who as you can see, loves his toys!! Rope toys, tennis balls, chew bones you name it! He’s even happier if he has his people around him to join in on playtime! Rufus has also done well with introductions to other dogs, a meet and greet would be needed beforehand! Rufus would prefer to be in an adult only household!

Our man Gallagher wiggled his way into a new foster home! He’s celebrating with a White Paw - his favorite! 🍾🤭
We sure will miss having him around in boarding, but being in a foster home is SO much better for these rescue pups! Getting out of the kennel environment sets these guys up for success when they start looking for their furever homes. Now Gallagher just needs to land one of those! He’s such a perfect lil dude, we know they’re just around the corner! 🥰

💐 Lily Update 💐
Our Lily girl is looking for a new foster home! With her stranger danger, she will need a patient family ready to work with her trainer. She’s made great progress and should continue working with her trainer so we can figure this out for her! ❤️
Lily is around 2 years old! She’s good with other dogs and loves to play. We aren’t aware of how she’d do with cats yet, but can have her tested if need be!

💥 Pogo Update 💥
Pogo had a great time on Saturday at Woofs Canine Club & Indoor Dog Park! He got to do two of his favorite things - burning off his energy and making new friends! He even mastered the tunnels! 🥳
This energetic guy is so friendly and fun and STILL looking for a family of his own. Everyone who’s gotten to meet Pogo just loves him. He’s goofy, sweet and wins your heart over right away with that big smile! 😍

🤍 Eugene Update 🤍
We have some upsetting news to share. 😞
Eugene’s story was rough enough before we met him. He was sad, skinny and sore. PSHR stepped in, got him at a good weight and put him on a joint supplement. Eugene went into foster and his R&R time was in full swing.
Unfortunately, not too long after Eugene had landed his sweet foster home, his foster parents started noticing some concerning coughs coming from him. He would cough up splatters of blood and wasn’t behaving like himself. As soon as we could get him an appointment, foster dad got Eugene to the vet. After an x-ray, they discovered our sweet boy has lung cancer. 💔 We aren’t sure how long he has, but we know that our time left with him is limited. Eugene has become a hospice case. 😢
We are so incredibly thankful and happy that his lovely foster family will be making sure his last stretch of this journey will be the best it could be. We know how hard it is to know your new family member is sick. Thank you both, and Appa, so much for choosing to be his family anyway. He loves you guys so much.

Dot got to play with her foster sister! These ladies did great having fun and using their manners with each other! How cute are they? 😍
Dot would love a home with another pup to spend time with. She’s done well with everyone she’s been introduced to, and really loves her quality time! We’re hoping the right family notices her soon.
Dot is around 2 years old and about 60 lbs. She is on the larger side, but does great with cats and kids regardless! Dot’s skin has cleared up so well since we met her and is patiently waiting to be adopted. 🥰
