That’s right, folks – 80 FIGHTING chances for your furry warriors to take their place in the ring of responsible pet ownership! 🐾👊 We are limited to how many we can do in one day so it is first come first serve.

🙋🏼‍♀️NEEDS for the Dawghaus +Katz Fundraiser🙋🏼‍♂️

1️⃣Raffle Items (business gift cards, services, experiences etc) for our raffle items at that do NOT go with a dog house. We have a raffle box for sports related items, family fun, pamper yourself, men's Gonzaga, Women's Gonzaga and restaurants/breweries. Can you or your business contribute anything?!

2️⃣Volunteers! Our event needs community members to help us sell raffle tickets at River Park Square during the event. Your parking is paid 😉 You just have to direct people to the ticket booth if you are a "sales" person! Make it a fun friend/family thing and bring others with you. Sign up link in comments.

3️⃣Raffle box sponsors at $500ea. We have raffle boxes in front of every dog/cat house and on each non house raffle box. Your business can sponsor one and be showcased for the 9 days we are downtown! Here are THREE common pet care questions and their answers to help you provide the best care for your pet 🐾
1. How often should I feed my pet? 🍗
The frequency of feeding depends on the type of pet and its age, size, and health.
Dogs and Cats: Most adult pets are fed twice a day. Puppies and kittens typically need more frequent meals, usually three to four times a day.
2. How do I know if my pet is overweight or underweight? ⚖️
Check for ribs: Gently feel for your pet's ribs. They should be easily felt without excessive fat covering.
Body shape: A healthy pet should have an hourglass shape when viewed from above, with a noticeable waistline behind the ribs.
Behavioral signs: Overweight pets may be lethargic, have trouble moving, or have difficulty breathing. Underweight pets may seem more active but may also show signs of malnutrition, such as dull fur or fatigue.
3. How often should I take my pet to the vet? 🏥
Puppies and Kittens: These young pets require more frequent vet visits, usually every 3-4 weeks until they are about 16 weeks old for vaccinations and general health checks.
Adult Pets: For healthy adult dogs and cats, an annual checkup with vaccinations and parasite prevention is typically sufficient.
Senior Pets: Pets over the age of 7 (or 5 for larger breeds of dogs) should have semi-annual vet visits to monitor for age-related conditions.

Our Dawghaus +Katz fundraising event is only successful if we have the volunteers to assist us in reaching the public! You do not have to be a talker to help us out 😉 Love what we do and partner with us to raise money for the community is the only requirement. We make it pretty easy downtown (plus we cover your parking). Partner up with a friend or family member and make it even more fun!

🐶This event directly impacts our giving 😺! In 2024 proudly completed 7,686 spays and neuters, significantly contributing to the wellbeing of countless animals in our community. Thanks to the publics 💵💰 generosity, we were able to distribute $53,104.08 in grant funds and assisted 20 rescues with $31,407.06 in discounts. We served 582 low-income households with spay/neuter subsidies, 418 households with vaccine subsidies, and provided 100% coverage for the pets of 26 unhoused individuals 🤯.

The MOST ADORABLE rescue story from one of our clients and her owners 🥰
→This is Meeka Squeeka we spent almost six months trying to catch "him" and finally did and took him to Pet Savers the next morning. He went in a Wilbur until we were told at pick up Wilbur is a girl. So we went with a more girly name after bringing her home and letting her move in. It took a few months but she slowly started letting us pet her, got comfortable with the dogs and our other cat. She now is almost always on my lap and she sleeps on top of me at night. 🥰 it's been almost six years now.
