Sorry for the lack of posts, my phone wasn't playing nice and letting me upload from it. Finally got onto my PC and am able to upload a video.
This is the main adoptable group. They piled against the bottom section as if there wasn't any other area to be in.
We are working on getting thank yous sent to Santas and are overwhelmed with everyone's generousity.
Thank you is not enough.

I tried to catch Bowser playing, but he was interested in me once I started filming.

Normally I don't allow Beans in the office at all. She bites my feet if I do. And not a play bite but I need to kill you bite. So today she is so excited to join her brother in a new play area.
Hope your day will be as joyful as Beans' is.

Today Summer, Simon, Goose and Kitty head to the coast to new homes.
Our last video with Summer. Here she demonstrates the ONLY use for these roll around small animal balls. Never put your ferret in these. EVER.
If you get one for free, toss out the lid and fill it with paper or blankets.
Thank you

Please welcome Moonshine. A 3-4 year old male whose owner has to move suddenly and is unable to take with. Heartbroken but didn't want to take a chance on not being able to properly care for him. We wish the best his owner in his next journey.

So happy that today Oyster gets to go to his new home. An experienced owner who bonds strongly with their ferret and their dog misses the ones they had also. I am so excited for him.
Thank you all for sending gifts, I am working on photos with the items and the ferrets they were lifted to.

Update, thanks to a former rescuer, Simon has a place lined up. The same person who can take Summer has room for Simon. We are so happy for him.

I hate when a newly surrendered ferret appears blind. Simon has been here a couple of weeks, and when I tried to introduce him to the group, he started snipping at them. He even now snaps at the girl he came in with. One eye does look like a cataract, but I'm not sure about the other. The vet will have to let us know. Either way, this 4-5 year old ferret will stay here unless we find a foster. Right now he needs to gain weight along with getting his teeth cleaned. Keep Simon in your prayers.
Thank you so much

Just picked up these young ferrets from a rental where they had been abandoned. The home owner was mortified that they were left behind. They were happy to have us come get them. They had been feeding and cleaning their cage for the past few days. So lucky they were going in to clean and set up for the next renters moving in next week. Not sure how long these girls would have made it.
Thank you all for your support so we can help people like this.

Update on our first unfixed female ferret who has been surrendered. Summer arrived a couple months ago because her past owner could not cure her aggressive behavior. We found out that she really didn't like the other ferrets and poofed as well as attacked them. She still will bite them through the cage if she can. But she bite me anymore. I have no fear to hold her. Even when she is going after another.
This Friday she gets spayed and them we can work on getting her to her final home. A very experienced owner has said she is welcome at his house soon as she is ready.
Thank you for all your support and I will work on getting some posts up of the Santa donations.

Please welcome Slinky and Simon all the way from Orofino. The family had to rehome all the animals inside the home because of the frail health of the family member. They were so upset but there was no way around it. Pet dander had become deadly. Our hearts go out to them as they were great owners.
We thank Codi for driving them up for the family.
Thank you all for your help so we can be there for owners like these.

Please welcome Krillan and Shu. Owners live in Walla Walla where it used to be the hub of great produce. Now the wine companies have moved in and gentrified this once thriving community. I miss those sweet Walla Walla onions. Now they taste bitter. The previous owners are renters and are finding it difficult to find any properties that allow ferrets. Just sad.
Krillan is older and already having back end weakness. We hope we can make him comfortable.
Love to all who are sending virtual hugs

Our Story

We are a nonprofit dedicated to the education of prospective owners and current owners of ferrets. We also rescue and work to rehabilitate behavioral and sick ferrets along with finding homes for unwanted or "kicked out of their homes" ferrets. We are considered a no-kill shelter as we do not put to sleep current residents to make room for more. We cannot save them all but for those that are terminal, we are able to provide a loving, safe, pain-free last days. Our group is still in the working on gathering members so please stand by as we are "under construction". We have ferrets available, ferrets in rehab and can discuss surrenders on a case-by-case basis. No surrender fee just the cage they were in (if not "free-range"), their bedding and what is left of their food. Some discussions can also be made about temporary housing/board until your situation improves. We welcome visitors just wanting to know more about these funny little creatures. Along with the ferrets we also have several different cage styles in our ferret room so that you can see what may work right for you. If we can just teach you how to find the right ferret and their proper care, that is one less ferret that has to end up in a rescue/shelter situation. If you would like to become part of our rescue network, just let us know. We can discuss possible foster homes and other ideas to help with our group.

We are currently located in Spokane Valley WA, but assist ferret owners anywhere in the Inland Northwest.

Note that because the rescue is inside my private home, you must call or text me at 509-599-3327, to come visit. I work during the week so weekends and federal holidays I am usually home. We look nothing like the local animal control or humane society. Our ferrets our housed as if they were my personal pets.
