The weekend wrapped up with many small dollar items sold which is amazing. Less to try and sell later. Thank you all who came by. Even our squirrel friends were looking for treasures.

I never set out to have this many ferrets in my care year after year but they have nowhere else to go. We hope some day that a rescue who just deals with ferrets comes around so we can help them grow. I see rescues open and say they will take in ferrets then start taking in cats/dogs and are quickly overflowing so that ferrets are the last animal they will consider taking I.
Ferret rescuing is not cheap. You need an outside source of income. Not just a fundraising idea or think you can do it by grants.
I will help any new rescue but you need to own your home, have income to support them AND be have the time to clean everyday. Then there is finding a vet you can work with.
Maybe some day we will see that rescue but in the meantime, we will be here for them and appreciate all the continued support you all provide.

Short clip of our very full rescue. These are what I call the adoptable group. They are a mix of available ferrets and some are boarding along with our mascot for 2026, Bradshaw. He is the blaze one. Our biggest.
We hope we bring some springy joy to your day.

Please welcome Joey and Dayton Loki. A rescuer took them in but was unable to keep them.
Joey's story is the owner couldn't care for him anymore. He is about 6 years old , blind and has insulinoma. He is already on pred but not yet treated for adrenal disease.
Dayton Loki is in bad shape. The story is that someone found him in a field and couldn't keep him. Those people said he was 9 years old. His teeth tell us closer to 4. He is painfully thin, bad poops and weak. He needs prayers. His eyes show us he wants to try and recover. We will continue to help him as much as we can.

Please welcome 2 ferrets who came in on Sunday. Kenai Ken and Lani. The firat a youngster with trust issues. His older "sister" who has a heart arythmia and adrenal disease. They have joined Pooptopia after their owner couldn't give them the quality of care they wanted them to have. We hope they will settle in here.

Kids having some fun. We are happy to have lower temperatures for the past few days. Really helps with the electric bill. The ferrets have AC in their room so they are always at a perfect 72 F.
