Before posting this my daughter asked, “how many cats have we adopted now?” I checked the notes in my phone and said, “sheesh over 22 hundred!” She said, “that’s a lot of cats!” I replied, “that’s a lot of paperwork!” 😳

This baby boy is Buttercup (5 months). You can see the uncertainty in his eyes, but there’s also a glint of hope. He’s trying to trust. He wants to love… and be loved. That clipped ear tells us he’s already known a life on the streets.

In the less than 2 weeks that he’s been with us, he’s gone from being tucked away in the back to willingly observing from the front perch. He used to avoid being touched entirely, to hesitantly accepting gentle skritches after a proper finger sniffing. Plus, he’s made it clear that he’ll put his life on the line for a Churu. 😹

He’s patiently waiting for a family who is equally as patient. We know he’s a catch. Who will be the lucky ducks to bring him home!?

Also - tis’ the spooky season. All black kitty adoptions will come with a healthy dose of questions, so be prepared for that. 🖤

-no reservation needed
-$5 for 30 mins or $8 for 60 mins
-w/ food or drink purchase
-ages 16+
-5 visitors at a time maximum
-first come, first served

We aren’t able to accommodate adoptions during walk-in visits, but there are plenty of Kitty Visits open on our website for all you potential adopters!

Anyone who works with cats… or heck anyone who LIVES with cats, knows this game. Freshly washed clothes, folded towels, paperwork, laptop, a bin you just moved to access the contents - all fair game. Then, we either don’t disturb the sleeping kitty or we move at a snails pace to minimize the impact to their nap. It’s the life we chose. 😹
