Got to meet this absolute beautiful girl!
The red factor gene has been becoming a very sought after trait in greys. Its contrast with the grey is amazing!
Also we are working on reshaping to help correct her scissor beak.

Angie has been coming to us for quite some time. Her beak has been on a long journey of reshaping and with her diet changes is getting a lot healthier. We try to keep the trimming time to a minimum as it’s a stressful process for a lot of birds. Angie is the best sport about it even after a long trim like this last one.

Not all of my birds take baths the same way…. Some try in their water bowls, some like the shower, and some like Oliver want to be absolutely doused with a soft mist lol staying creative with bath time!

ISO a foster home for a Catalina macaw.
I do not have a ton of info on it, but it plus 3 others are being taken from a pretty neglectful situation.
The others have found fosters home, but the Catalina macaw needs somewhere to go. It is a Catalina macaw that has not been handled much… so some behavioral work will be needed as well as I would quarantine from any other birds as living conditions were not great.

Cockatoo in need of a new foster home and potential adoption.

I have had spike as a foster now for several months as a foster, and I just have a lot to take care of already.
Spike needs someone who has experience with cockatoos specifically, and someone who knows 100% what they are getting into.
He is super lovey and sweet! But he is a male cockatoo. He is incredibly loud, gets excited very fast, and can be destructive. And while he has those typical cockatoo behaviors, he really is a good boy!
But he needs very strict boundaries and rules! He needs regular training as he is not a bird that is easy to have.

Spike is a mobrella, so half Moluccan half umbrella, and is in his later teens. I don’t have very good history on him as he has had many homes over the years.

His owner Does not have access to his cage, so he would need a cage. But she is currently not in a place where she can house him.

Spike would not do well in a very hectic house hold as he does feed off the energy. And he does not do well with kids.

But he deserves a home that accepts him in all his confident male glory!

I will ONLY be considering homes who have serious experience with bigger birds and have done extra training and research on behavioral work as he needs someone who knows how to work and communicate with him!
I adore spike! But I have a lot to take care of as is and cannot continue to provide for him as a foster.

Sky is a very sweet and handsome Indian ringneck that we absolutely love seeing. He is very loved and it shows through his outgoing personality. His beak has a mind of its own and likes to grow wonky. Thankfully we are able to get it back to a normal shape and as always give him lots of love afterwards.

Brock is an elderly Quaker so we try to provide calming interaction before and after the trim to keep his heart rate as steady and calm as possible!

I always love telling people Chevy is macaw, because while the Hahns macaws are the smallest of the macaw family, she isn’t much bigger than my golden capped conure, so she always gets confused with a conure!
But she sure is the cutest littlest macaw around!
