Chiquita enjoys a variety of activities, including eating, climbing fences, and playing with her brother, DumpTruck. Her name, which means "little girl" in Spanish, beautifully honors her Mexican roots. She has a fondness for neighborhood walks and loves exploring the nearby bluff, although her pug nature often leads to her needing to be carried home as her energy wanes.

In terms of personality, Chiquita is a cautious lover; she tends to be skeptical of humans but shows deep affection for her brother, DumpTruck. A recent DNA test confirmed her lineage, revealing that she is 100% pug, which explains her adorable quirks and playful demeanor. Her typical day includes a gourmet breakfast, delightful playful antics with DumpTruck, and plenty of time spent lounging on memory foam beds that provide her with the comfort she craves.

Chiquita's journey to her forever home is a heartwarming tale, as she joined the family after a chance encounter at LAX, where she was rescued from a puppy mill. January Pet of the Month:
Meet Simba!
"Simba has a very unique personality. Much like a cat, Simba determines who and what comes into his world. He loves cuddles but also loves his “me” time. He loves his treats, he loves his blankets and has commandeered a pair of my socks that he absolutely adores. His favorite indoor activity is playing sock-ums. Simba’s name comes from the Lion King. He has a little white spot on his forehead. It just seemed fitting. Simba recently lost his older “Brother” who was also in the care of the staff at Regal Vet. Since our other dogs passing, Simba has opened up and has become a very loving pup and has helped in the mourning processes.

Simba became part of the family in 2013. He was found caked in mud on the side of the road in Chico, California. He made his way to San Jose, Ca for a chip check, with no luck, and then made his was to SLC Utah. All of this before his 2nd birthday. I got a call from my friend Kaysea with the news she could no longer care for Simba, 2 cats and a new born baby. I called out of work, got in my car and immediately drove 11 hrs (768 miles) slept 3 hrs, and drove back to San Jose with the newest member of the family.

We love him so much and has brought us lots of joy."
