Anyone recognize this little guy? He looks very familiar to me, but none of us can recall for certain if he’s stayed with us before. He was found on the streets in the South Hill area and is safe. He is chipped, but the chip did not lead to an owner being located. If you recognize this little man please contact us with details so we can get him home.

This sweet girl was found on the corner near our property. She was found wandering loose without a collar at the school bus stop. A mom and her kiddos picked her up and are caring for her now. SCRAPS wouldn’t take her and she doesn’t have a chip. Anyone recognize her? I also posted her on our Nextdoor neighborhood app. Proof of ownership with photos of you and the dog will be required to claim her.

UPDATE: Evacuation lifted

Spokane friends, I’m in Arizona right now with my mom in hospice and can’t get home. There is a fire near our home/office. We aren’t being asked to evacuate, but there are 16 dogs on my property that would have to be evacuated to safety if it gets close (I run a boarding facility). I’m working on places for them to go, but in the meantime I need a way to transport the crated dogs.

In the past we have rented climate controlled cargo vans, but everything is closed on Sunday night. Does anyone have a safe way to help transport if needed? Please DM me if you have suggestions. Thank you

Today we had our annual license renewal visit from SCRAPS. There were two officers present this time, which is unusual. At the end of the evaluation I overheard the senior officer explaining to the junior officer (who was in training) that they came to our facility first because we are an example of how things can and should be run. Can’t tell you how proud that made me.

Pet care can be a dirty job, but we strive to keep a clean, safe and healthy environment for all the dogs in our care. It is nice when that effort is recognized.
