Fun day for us with friends at the Columbia Hunter Jumper Association High Timber Classic. First up was the first property rides and hanging out at the show grounds for Melody and her baby Waffles. Then the little girls Clara and Shiloh crushed leadline and trot poles and earned themselves some trophies. I took Morty for a spin and had some nice rides, my best placing on him in an under saddle to date! Kora took Canmore for a spin in crossrails and equitation and he was a gentleman. Finally Kimberly Lengerich ended the day with some gritty and educational rides for the big guy, was 4th in his first ever Hunter Derby and ended with a lovely smooth round and Champion in the 2’9 Hunters! Thanks to Pam Perkins Raymond, Robin Bhatia, Kelsey McCarty and crew for putting on a fantastic show, and to Sally Collins for judging!

Clear Round Spring Show is in the books ⭐️ It was one of those days where we had a great show day plan and the horses had other plans, and it took some extra grit, determination, and flexibility to make it happen. We missed her morning classes but thanks to the Clear Round squad for letting us her play in the trot pole jumpers, and I was so proud of Clara for her positive attitude and smiles through it all. Melody took baby Waffles on his first off property field trip, lots of lessons were learned and after a trailer loading adventure he behaved like a gentleman on property. As Clara told me tonight “mom, sometimes you just have to go with what you get with horses” (pretty sure someone wise told her that 😝). Some days it takes a bit of extra time and horsemanship to make it successful and positive for all, and today was one of those days. Overall it was a fun and successful day for both horses and humans, and we’re ready to do some homework and have a fun season 💜🦄

I had so much fun today supporting my dear friend Kimberly Lengerich at the Columbia Hunter Jumper Association show for their first forray into hunterland. Kim and I have done many shows together with different horses but this big grey guy is something special. Thanks to Pam Perkins Raymond and the crew for sharing your beautiful facility, and to Caley Thomas for her excellent prep work with this pair. Joan DeVries and Harm you have another good one! I love providing coaching and support that sets up positive and confidence building experiences, and look forward to seeing all the places I know these two can go together 💞🦄

Huge congratulations to Melody Dayton on her purchase of Unique Pleasure (to be known in the barn as Waffles!), a 2020 Belgian Warmblood out of Quidam’s Pleasure, a Vancouver BC jumper stallion. Waffles arrived safe and sound yesterday, had his first outing today, and for a horse with limited experience off his breeders farm he handled himself like a gentleman. I am so excited to work with this talented pair and help support the development of baby Waffles as he looks to a future career in hunter jumper land. Bright things ahead for this pair 🦄🤩

Spokane area horse friends, I am a breeches hoarder and need to clear out! I have several pairs available for local pickup.

*Note I am short and cut off about 2” of the sock bottoms on some pairs so they don’t bunch in my boots ☺️. There’s no damage to the breeches and no one ever sees it, it’s hidden under your boots!
