Dustin is a nine week old kitten looking for his forever home. When he first arrived Dustin had a severe head tilt (see photo in comments) that has obviously since resolved! Dustin is an active, fun loving guy that loves to play, purr and eat. He also loves to play with other cats.

He is neutered, microchipped, FeLV/FIV negative, dewormed, and has received age appropriate vaccines.

Please message me for more information on his history, testing, treatment and if interested in adopting. ♥️🐾

Unfortunately, feral cat complaints are at the top of calls to animal control. The best way to reduce this is through effective spay and neuter in community cat populations. The Celtic Cat, LLC is a proud sponsor of The Louisa Humane Society’s 5K this weekend. We’ve sponsored the starting line…because what cat would get past the start and participate in a 5K? ♥️🐾☘️

Our little fighter! ♥️🐾

Cilantro, can you be any more adorable?! Cilantro had a tough start but she's in great hands being fostered with The Celtic Cat, LLC (you can see more pics of her there!). Dr. Coleman had to tube feed her for a bit to keep her going but this ginger cutie has now decided that wet food is where it's at and Dr. Coleman can quit playing bartender with her bottles. Kittens don't get their vetting for adoption until they weigh 2 lbs, but we tell folks to go ahead and pre-apply at www.louisahumanesociety.com with a generic cat application. Meanwhile, we can keep the adorable baby photos coming!

Dr. Coleman picked up her first orphan neonate of the 2023 season on Sunday. Cilantro is three weeks old and is currently requiring to be tube fed so we used the opportunity to train as well as film for an instructional video on tube feeding. ♥️🐾☘️

Cilantro is not available for adoption at this time.

Efforts to promote early spay and neuter had been used primarily in shelters since the 1990s. However, it was not until much later that movements began to promote early spay and neuter for all companion, shelter, and community cats. In June 2017, the AVMA formally endorsed early spay and neuter for cats not intended for breeding. By July 2017, several other organizations had endorsed early spay/neuter, including the International Cat Association and the Cat Fanciers’ Association.
