We never thought it would happen to one of our dogs—until it did 😫
Anastasia 🐺👑🐾, our sweet three-month-old rescue pup, was just starting her adoption journey with one of our wonderful Alumni's. She was playing with her new friends when the unthinkable happened—her tiny jaw got caught in another dog’s collar, fracturing it (Caudal Mandibular Fracture).
We’re incredibly grateful to Dr. Chai 👩🏻⚕️ from VRC for performing Anastasia’s emergency dental surgery.
As a rescue, we give everything we have to save these dogs, but emergency after emergency has drained our funds. 🥺 We are struggling. We don’t know how we’ll afford this unexpected surgery, but one thing is certain—we will not give up on Anastasia 🐺👑🐾

We are thrilled to share some incredible news about Marley! She joined us on March 8th, and while her initial adoption did not work out due to her preference for being the only dog in the home, we believe everything happens for a reason.
The very day Marley returned to 3 Husketeers Rescue, we received an adoption application from a home without other dogs but with four cats. While we knew Marley had done well around cats, we weren’t entirely certain how she would adjust to living with them full-time. Fortunately, she has settled in beautifully and is now thriving in her foster-to-adopt home.
Marley is exactly where she belongs—living as the only dog in a loving home where she is spoiled and adored. We couldn’t be happier for her and can’t wait to see her continue to flourish!
⭐️⭐️ UPDATE ON CHASE 🐺🐾⭐️⭐️
Last week, we rescued two owner-surrendered Alaskan Klee Kais. One of the dogs, Chase 🐺🐾, was placed in a home, but shortly after, we discovered that he had ingested something prior to his rescue, causing an intestinal blockage. He was admitted to VRC for 24 hours, where veterinarians closely monitored his condition. Fortunately, the blockage passed on its own, and surgery was not required.
Whenever we rescue a dog that has ingested something, my mind always goes back to Trouble 🐺🐾🌈, a dog we tragically lost. Trouble was at a board-and-train facility when he swallowed a sock, ultimately going septic and passing away. That experience stays with me, and I can’t help but panic when we encounter similar situations. Losing Trouble 🐺🐾🌈 was devastating, and I never want to lose another life the same way.
I also want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to everyone who donated toward Chase’s 🐺🐾 medical expenses at VRC. Your generosity made his care possible, and I’m happy to share that

🏡Reuniting Two Lost Huskies in Kennett Square🏡
We’ve received many messages about the two female Huskies found in Kennett Square, and we wanted to share how their story unfolded.
When we first saw the post, we noticed another rescuer was already involved, so we didn’t step in right away. However, our local dog warden reached out and asked if we could help. That’s when we got involved.
After connecting with the people who had the dogs, their neighbor found a Facebook post from someone claiming to have lost them. The post was in a Spanish-speaking group, so we turned to Google Translate to communicate.
Here’s what we learned: The person who made the post wasn’t the owner but their cousin. The actual owners had recently moved to Arizona this past Thursday, and their friend in Oxford was watching the dogs for them. To ensure we were returning the dogs to their rightful owners, we asked for veterinary records. After confirming with Conchester Animal Hospital that they were indeed the owners, we relayed the information back to the kind people who had been keeping the dogs safe.
All of this took four hours to figure out—because at 3 Husketeers Rescue, we go the extra mile where other rescues wouldn’t. We don’t just assume, we investigate. We track down owners, verify records, and make sure every dog ends up exactly where they belong.
Today, the Huskies were reunited with the person watching them for their owners, bringing this story to a happy ending!
To ensure these girls never end up lost again, I’ll be going to the dog sitter’s house tomorrow to microchip both of them.

Marley’s 🐺👑🐾 story is one of heartbreak and resilience. This beautiful, pure white Husky was abandoned by her family when they moved to Tennessee, leaving her at the Cleveland pound on their way out of town. Facing the risk of euthanasia due to overcrowding, Marley 🐺👑🐾 was rescued just in time. Now, she’s looking for a forever home where she will never be left behind again.
