Let me clarify this post…this has nothing to do with me asking for sympathy, empathy or sharing what has happened to me… this is strictly to give HOPE to all that are in need physically or mentally. If this can help…then I will be a vessel for God and NOT for any benefit or glory for me.

HOPE—there IS HOPE!! When you think all is doom and gloom....never give up...trust in whatever you want to trust in; for our home and I that is trusting God.

I am NOW revealing what has been happening to me, in my journey of survival from continued radiation and chemotherapy poisoning. Within the last 6 months. (See photos-a bit graphic.) I went to see a physician and stated I have been having inner chills followed by fever. He prescribed antibiotics and told me I just need to relax. Anyway, after 5 months of the same, a mass in my lower abdomen started showing and getting larger. Since I have so much inner damage including severe damage of the peritoneum (the serous membrane that lines the abdominal cavity) intestines and colon, I truly was having a difficult time. Needless to say I went back to my Doctor and showed him, to whom he requested a CT scan or MRI. Down to imaging, to which all they could do for me was an ultrasound, due to Medicare protocol; so they stated. The technician saw a mass, as I saw it... although when the radiologist read it, he revealed it was negative. No, this is not good enough...a 3 week waste of time and this mass was increasing. The Doctor stated I will make things happen and I got a CT scan revealing this large mass...as seen in the photo. He instructed me to seek out a good surgeon and he placed me on a high dose of two antibiotics...Ciprofloxacin and Flagyl. Bill and I felt very confident in going back to the hospital in Murray, Utah, where I had my hyperbaric treatments and made an appointment with Dr. Nickolas Byrge. Long story short, he thought I was full of cancer and that the surgery would be a complex major abdominal one. When Bill and I agreed he was the one, he stated...long as we both understand I could open you up and nothing will be done, thus I would close you right back up. We agreed. Surgery was scheduled for August 20th 6 am to be admitted. We had acquired a hotel room and arrived in Utah on the 18th, as prep needed to start early the next morning. Huge appreciation to Terri Johns Jackson for having her beautiful Granddaughter Avery stay at our home to care for our babies while we were away. We owe Avery, Kenny and you our deepest health felt gratitude. Arriving at the hospital, on the Tuesday, check in and then prep for surgery. At around 7 am Dr. Byrge walked into my room and sat down asking Bill his concerns and if we had questions... amazing. I felt such peace...this was going to be my 39th surgery and I never felt like this. Total trust in God bringing us to this surgeon!
He scheduled me first in for surgery and a four hour time slot. Let's go!!!!

Here is exactly what was completed:

Description of Operation: After informed consent was obtained the patient was brought the operating placed in the supine position the operating room table. Bilateral lower extremity SCDs were placed and preoperative IV antibiotics administered. After appropriate induction of general tracheal anesthesia the rectus sheath blocks was performed. She is positioned in low lithotomy and care to pad all pressure points appropriately. Catheter was placed. We then prepped and draped the abdomen in usual standard fashion and a timeout procedure performed to verify the patient the procedure and all the required operating room staff were present and in agreement. Mid and lower midline incision through her previous incision and extended this up slightly above the umbilicus. To come down we came through chronic indurated abdominal wall related to the chronic infection is once we came through the abdominal wall identified not incorporated infected hernia mesh bathed in purulence. Ultimately able to get entirely into the abdomen mainly by clearing off adhesions to the omentum on the right side. The left side the hernia mesh was there as a keyhole around the stoma the rectal stump was stuck there so took some careful lysis. We able to separate the rectal stump off the mesh there is an obvious fistula there. We then excised all of the mesh from the keyhole. There is a small defect in the parastomal hernia was so small did not feel his wife the trying stitch that together. I then went to cause any injury or any other issues so we are able to excise the mesh clean that up and disconnect the rectal stump from it. We then mobilized the rectal stump with LigaSure device down towards the pelvic inlet. At this point there is no way to just resect part of the rectal pouch as she has anal stenosis and so elected to do a mucous fistulous we created this on the right side of the abdomen. The length of the rectum was shortly able to bring this up through the right rectus fairly close to the midline and that we are able to mature it just as a flat mucous fistula it was not direct as if there is no length to do that. We placed a red rubber catheter through the fistula to keep it open. We made sure thing was hemostatic we irrigated with saline. There is no way to use a wound protector. There is no plans for dealing with the bowel upstream so that is why a bowel prep was not done or utilized as you are not planning on resecting any the bowel that was contiguous with the mass to her colostomy. We did switch to a colonic closing table. We closed the fascia with running #1 PDS. We irrigated subcutaneous layers and closed the skin with staples. We placed the ostomy appliance on her left sided stoma and 1 on the mucous fistula with a red rubber in place. 4 x 4 Mefix were placed over the midline. The catheter was removed. She is awake in extubated transported to the postoperative anesthesia care unit in stable condition. I spoke with her husband Bill regarding intraoperative findings. Complications: None Electronically Signed on 08/20/24 10:02 AM ________________________________________________________ BYRGE, MD, NICKOLAS R.

Please, keep pursuing. Just because a Doctor tells you there is no HOPE….I am living proof there is. My Onocologist all thought I should have been dead long time ago and I want to live. That is strictly up to you. Are you a fighter or just too tired. I get it!!! We KNOW our bodies… if you do not feel right then question whomever…. as for me I got with a Naturopathic Doctor who revealed to me other alternatives… i.e. Mesenchymal stem cell infusions (stem cells from the umbilical cord in a baby), Hyperbaric treatments and then supplements that can assist in repair. We truly believe this gave me viable tissue for the surgeon to be able to do what he did!

I pray this helps someone…. In Jesus name I pray. Amen

Here is Dustin’s critique from the Judge at Crufts!!
1 Pinkerton & Cattoni-Sarman’s Korsakov Radost Power Of Love Menigma. A male who gave me goosebumps when he entered the ring. Really aristocratic in his appearance and grown into his full potential with lots of quality. Nice size, good proportions, lovely floating lines from nose till tail point, noble head with beautiful profile, long neck, good withers, well bodied, bladed bone, good width of croupe, low set hock, moves like a dream, extremely nice coat, a male who has combined strength and elegance in the right way. I was glad to give him the CC and BOB.
THANK YOU Andre van den Broek for Dustin amazing critique at CRUFTS and thank you for honoring our Houndson with your expert views, sights and touch!
