Watched a person ground work their horse for less time than I did two trims including getting them out of the stall.
Then proceed to bathe the horse longer than it takes me to trim two horses.

I feel bad for her farrier. (Leather pads and size 3 aluminum)

It ain’t me.

Over 25 years of doing this job taught me a few things.

Like when it rains for a week.
The barns who keep their horses in during the rain lose the most shoes VS the barns who keep the horses rain or shine.

Yes I know all of my customers are highly educated from our conversations at the barn but being an AFA member has other perks as well. Like discounts on travel or even tractors

The American Farrier's Association is having a membership drive!
For those that don't know the LLHA is a chapter of the American Farriers Association. The AFA has been a huge supporter of our local state chapter and most of the LLHA members are also AFA members which goes to show how close we are!!!!!!
