Huckleberry Hound is a resilient and loving dog who overcame a difficult beginning to become the wonderful companion he is today.
His early life was challenging, marked by irresponsible owners who neglected his safety. This is when Huck fell from the back of a moving truck, resulting in a severe injury to his right leg. Due to the extent of the damage & length of time left untreated, his leg had to be amputated. While unfortunate, this is when Huck got his new beginning with HERO.
Post-Opt & now a tripod, Huckleberry is thriving! He finally gets to play without pain, he has a large, comfortable bed to call his own. He is an incredibly social and adaptable dog, enjoying playtime with every canine he meets, regardless of size.
Huckleberry is an all-around good boy with a zest for life. He is completely housebroken and enjoys the simple pleasures: going for walks, riding in the car, and, of course, receiving treats.
He gets along famously with children and shows no mind to cats, making him an ideal family pet.
With a spirit that shines brightly despite his past trauma, Huckleberry's positive attitude is infectious. He's a true entertainer who will even sing a song and do a little dance to bring joy to those around him.
