Introducing our first adoptable pups in Ontario, Canada: Ladybird and Dale. ๐๐พ๐๐๐
Ladybird & Dale are well socialized and confident pups who love all the people they meet. They get along well with their foster dog siblings. Anytime they have noticed my cat, they look at her curiously and are easily redirected with treats. They have never approached her. They are very sweet with my three kids and other kids they have met.
These two love each other & play frequently throughout the day. They still thoroughly enjoy affection from humans, including children, and their tails wag when you look at them.
Unlike many strays, they were both already house broken, knew sit, paw, and come when they arrived with me. They have now learned to sit and wait until being told it is okay to go to their food bowls in the kitchen and to come through the door into the house. In true hound form, they are food motivated.
They are a pleasure to have around as they are very happy and well-mannered dogs. They don't jump up and they aren't clumsy, so they would be fine in a home with children of any age.
We believe Ladybird is a Plott and Dale is a Black Mouth Cur, but Embark DNA results are pending. You can tell by Ladybird's belly that she did have puppies at some point before she was found & we wonder if Dale was the dad.
They can be adopted separately, but they have been through quite an adventure together, and as someone who has adopted a bonded pair, I can say from experience, it can be easier than adopting one. They tire each other out playing, and they always have each other's company when you're at work. If they are adopted separately, it is preferred they go to a home with at least one other playful dog so they can continue with their current activity levels.
They are fully vaccinated, spayed/neutered and healthy.
