Pray for Maury County

Our area has been hit by a tornado, and while we at Oh Doggonit! are safe, some of our clients have experienced damage. Thank you to everyone who has reached out - we truly appreciate your concern.

Tragically, there has been 1 reported death, a couple in critical condition at Maury Regional Health, and others unaccounted for. Please keep them and their families in your prayers during this difficult time.

For your safety, please stay home if you can as trees and power lines are down. The most affected areas seem to be near Bear Creek Pike and I-65, along with Joe Brown Road - please stay away! Thank you to all our first responders and neighboring counties for their assistance.

“We had Alex from Oh Doggonit! watch our dogs for 3 weeks. Two months prior to Alex watching our dogs we decided to add a third puppy to the group. Not only did Alex have to watch a senior dog and a middle aged dog, but now he has a 5 month old puppy. Alex was up for the challenge, especially all the walks. We were impressed by how well he took care of all 3 dogs and how he treated them like his own. The dogs loved Alex too….. They slept with him at night and were his buddies during the day. Along with taking great care of the dogs, he took great care of the house. When we got back home, the house was clean and the sheets and towels were washed. We appreciate the little extras and would definitely use Oh Doggonit! again. Thank you Boston, Quincy, and Arlo!”

“We had a GREAT experience with Oh Doggonit! pet sitting our yorkie for an extended weekend. We loved the meet and greet beforehand to get a feel if things would work. Alex was our pet sitter and he was fantastic with communicating with us while we were gone! He sent updated messages, pictures and videos throughout our trip, which was comforting to see our boy in good hands. Alex was very attentive to our needy boy with keeping him company, taking him outside, on walks and giving medicines when needed with his meals. Alex was very reliable and quick to respond with any questions or concerns. The house was nice and clean when we returned home and he had washed the sheets and towels that were used during his stay. Our boy seemed to do very well with Alex and we plan to use his services again in the near future. Thank you Alex and Oh Doggonit!”

It’s been an incredible year since the start of Oh Doggonit, and we’re so grateful for all the support we’ve received.

In just a year, we've completed a whopping 282 bookings, with 71 in-home sittings totaling 317 days! 🤯‼️

I lost my best friend.

You’re not to pick favorites;
but through the years
- over the dozen others
Charley was by far my favorite.
I not afraid to express that.

A true connection we were;
Her knowing I would protect her.
Myself knowing I was loved.
I could hold her attention,
her ears always listening.

This year guilt has filled me.
In her years of grey,
I was afraid to leave her side.
Although others now in need of my time,
more of my attention drawn away.
“What if I miss a sign of decline?”
That thought carried in my heart.

Nearly I gone a month,
that’s when the downfall began.
The beginning of the end,
the unexpected twist,
the climax,
the tipping point.

I felt though I arrived back,
just in the nick-of-time.
Although my brain lacked her recent past.
Talking with professionals,
I proceeded with hope.
Until a glimpse of my Angel appeared.

Her face has narrowed,
I feel the thinning of hairs on her ears.
Speckles of white paint her face.
She exceedingly slown down,
but still becomes more distant.
Her eyes match her cloudy judgement.
Thursday I knew she had left,
leaving me an empty shell behind.

She was “alive”
- I felt her energy no more.
Today, I did not cry,
a true first for me.
I believe my heart is not sad,
but broken.
