We have a full surgical suite allowing us the ability to perform routine and complex procedures including spay/neuter, dental prophylaxis, oral surgery, and sof

t tissue surgery. The health of your pet is our top priority and we optimize their health by utilizing all aspects of routine care including comprehensive exams, second opinions, vaccinations, microchipping, and comprehensive blood work. We are open Monday through Friday 8:00am-5:00pm and Saturdays 8:00am-12:00pm. We look forward to meeting you and your fuzzy loved ones!

At our very first holiday party in 2020 we had about 11 people in attendance. We all fit around one table.

Last night we brought 62 people to the Bolts game to celebrate. We are still in absolute awe of how much we have grown. All of these people (and the ones not in attendance) are such amazing humans and we are so lucky to have them on our team. We have so much to be thankful for this season.

I would like to take a moment to share the story of this beautiful boy Benson.

His owner called one morning reporting that he was unwell and could she bring him in later with her other dog. Our astute client care coordinator recognized that his condition was emergent and advised his owner to bring him in now along with her other dog (so she wouldn’t have to make multiple trips). Sam showed accurate assessment, compassion to the owner and skilled problem solving in finding room on our schedule and alerting the staff.

Benson was evaluated by the technicians upon arrival and his diagnostic and treatment plan was begun. Many times our knowledgeable technicians know what our doctors will need before they do and they are empowered to do what is best for the patient while keeping our doctors informed. Ashley stayed with Benson from beginning to end, caring for him as if he were her own pet with the help of our entire team.

We didn’t know how bad Bensons condition was until we were in surgery. He had a perforated foreign body that resulted in a septic abdomen. He needed about a foot of small intestine removed and the healthy edges were carefully stitched back together.

He required about a week of hospitalization and thanks to his dedicated owners and the help of Animal Emergency of Hernando he was able to receive the care he needed and made a full recovery!

Bensons story is not uncommon at kiNd but it is a beautiful example of the magic that happens when so many skilled, knowledgeable, passionate and caring people come together for one purpose - to give our all to these pets and their people.

The best beagle belly dancer that ever danced.

Last night some of our crew got together to sign the frame and bless the new clinic. I need a moment to brag LOUDLY about the team at kiNd. Over the last few weeks on top of all the additional stress we have all faced as Floridians, we have seen every flavor of emergency walk through our door. GDV, foreign body, urinary obstruction, hemoabdomen, lacerations, strangulation, seizures, toxicities, the list goes on. I have watched my team expertly triage, diagnose, and treat the patients that have walked through our doors and compassionately care for the pets and owners who have had to say goodbye. They are knowledgeable, passionate, selfless, dedicated and most of all kind. We are so proud of the team at kiNd and feel so lucky they have chosen us as their team.

The building is coming along! This video is of our LOBBY! It’s enormous! There will be plenty of air conditioned space for you all to wait for your appointments. Curbside will still be available by request if you prefer. We can’t wait!
