Fin had his first wellness exam today! He is an 11 week old miniature Schnauzer and weighs 3.12 pounds, Fins favorite toy is his kong skunk and his favorite treats are apple bacon puzzle treats. 🙂

Emergency Clinic Update

It has come to our attention today that Blue Pearl Emergency Services in Rochester is closed indefinitely. There is a new emergency clinic opening in the area on Thursday (6/20/24) called Allied Emergency Veterinary Services. Until then, to make sure all our furry pet patients have Vet services available after hours, our vets will be on call to triage cases and provide emergency services until Allied opens. Please note that we are only able to triage current patients/clients of the Spring Valley Vet Clinic.

We are so fortunate to have such wonderful and caring staff to provide after hours care on short notice this week! Thank you in advance to our staff (feel free to send coffee and donuts) and for our clients for your patience and understanding!

Attention Dairy Cow Owners that are planning on attending an exhibition this summer. All lactating dairy cows are required to have a Certificate of Veterinary Inspection and a negative H1N1 test within 7 days of the show. Please plan ahead to allow the labs time for running the test and making an appointment with your veterinarian.

The Minnesota Board of Animal Health announces new testing requirements for lactating dairy cows effective Tuesday, June 18. All lactating (currently producing milk) dairy cows must have both a negative H5N1 test result and Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (CVI) to attend any exhibition in Minnesota. The requirements are effective until December 31, 2024.

Everyone help us welcome Minnie to the SVVC family 🐶 She is a 10 week old French Bulldog/ Boston Terrier, weighs 8.5 pounds, and is already so loved 🥰

Daisy had her first wellness with us this morning! She is a Cavalier King Charles mixed with Shih Tzu and is 11 weeks old weighing 4.6 pounds. Her favorite toys are anything that makes a crinkle sound, especially her crinkly cow. So far she has loved any treats she has tried.
