Happy Mother’s Day all! My fave Mother’s Day photo ever. I share it year after year. The color is off but it’s my original gangsta partridge Betty (named after my mom) 🤣 and the overgrown babies giving her a Mother’s Day spa day. If that is not being a mother in a picture I don’t know what is! 🤣 They wouldn’t even let her 💩 by herself at this age. Shes is still to this day my best mother. She’d probably raise a human baby better than many moms.

Hi I wanted to share that I am not immune to loss. Idk if everyone remembers but I took in a poor little roo a few months ago that had been left out in the cold alone for 3 weeks during the big winter freeze and he survived from eating horse poo somehow. Sweet Christine “Pinky” was able to finally catch him and get him to me. I managed to fix his crop with no surgery, save all but the tips of some of his comb from frostbite, saved his toes from frostbite and battled the worst and hardest case of scaly leg mites I’ve ever experienced. Well last night I got him out to sit and watch Below Deck with me. We like yachtee shows before bed 😅. He had become super chill here with me after so long. Well he suddenly turned and looked into my eyes and he started breathing rapidly and open mouthed. I watched his comb go from bright red to Purple to black. I set him in his pen and ran for my pet oxygen mask and my oxygen and came back in 30 seconds or so and he was gone on his back.
Just so random and so fast. I cried all night last night and this morning and finally had to let Pinky know today he would not be coming home.
I believe he had a random heart attack.
I will never forget him turning and looking at me it’s just embedded in my brain and I’m so saddened. It’s so hard on the ones you work so long and hard on and they become your little friend.

Today we nominate Montgomery Frizzles and my friend Guppy Doyle. She has helped me as a volunteer both here at the CHICU, with her big brain at home, at poultry shows and out on the lake.

I was asked to join her cause for Casting for Casey one day and I was given something I needed for myself. I might possibly love fishing even more than my chickens or well atleast I get that same calming feeling. I was asked to come and it was just an amazing experience. So much so we as a family all booked again for night fishing a few weeks later. Not an easy thing for me after open lung surgery but it was 1000% worth it for me. She also had shirts delivered by people for my chemo port access that I cannot even thank as I’m not on TikTok. She is truly a one of a kind and I can’t ever repay her in this lifetime but I hope she knows I forever love her and thank her.
Her husbands new STOREFRONT venture is Bradley's Outdoors! If you want to go fishing, come get me so I can go!

Hello! Hope all in Texas area faired ok through last nights storms.
We did but my phone decided to update during the storm and I guess let the freaky things in.
So I thought updates were supposed to fix issues. Nope not for me.
Half my apps are invisible and/or stuck. Also I keep getting the same texts and messages repeatedly from yesterday. I’m not going to keep replying the same thing back to the same people! 😅 So not much sleep as it just keeps putting the texts back and I just keep restarting my phone. 😅
So that said, my Square app which runs the orders and your notifications is just stuck. The site is fine it’s just my phone app.

You’ll get your tracking numbers later today once I figure this out.
And so also I’m closing for pickup orders just for rest of the afternoon as well I can’t see them at the moment.

Happy Easter Chicks! Ava, one of my partridge Silkies is the momma taking these on. I wish I could capture her red color and pencilling as she is actually SOP and not a Moorhead but I just can’t with the lighting tonight. She’s one of my oldies but goodies so I’m sure many remember sweet Ava. Happy Easter. So far she’s hatched out 2 paint Silkies, one still wet blue or black and one yellow still wet.
Anyways the hubs failed again on the egg collecting and sweet Ava won! So shd got moved in for a few days to finish hatching while I transfer the 2 week olds and mom out.

Hello!! If you have not gotten your tracking number from me if ordered in last 2 days you will! My Square app keeps freezing up when I go to update the order. 🤷🏻‍♀️ So I may have to send it manually one by one to your email. Thanks! Thanks to the person that alerted me this morning. Apparently restarting my phone each time did not make it send the tracking out automatically like usual.

Hello! Just letting everyone know there will be no pickup orders until tomorrow night. I will be in Houston med center tonight and all day tomorrow.

I always try to keep y’all updated on here especially as far as pickup orders. Unless you get a pickup order in by 9pm tonight for tomorrow pickup I will be closed for on demand pickups and assistance until tomorrow afternoon as I have to go get scans done in the morning. Evening porch pickups tomorrow are fine though.
If you already placed your pickup order today then it will be ready for you at your convenience.

I’m a little reluctant to post this as I swear when I say I cannot answer calls or texts….I receive 100 emergency calls and texts. 🤣🤷🏻‍♀️

That said I have to post as I will not be here to fill pickup orders tomorrow. I also will be out of commission getting a bladder biopsy and lung tests and a few doctor appointments in the med center. Besides being in interesting situations and unable to answer phone, the internet and service in that building is 💩 so things don’t come through well.
I’ll be home by evening.
PLEASE direct all calls and texts for help to the other Lone Star Admins and Mods for the day. Mike will be with me If Howard needs to call him.

If I’ve spoken with you today than your order is out in the box for you and you are set healthwise for a day.

Normal operations resume Thursday.
