Hello everyone! Just wanted to let you guys know I have signed up for the bluebonnet rescue horse training challenge and have picked up my challenge partner, Rigel! So far he is a pretty disconnected boy but he is trying every day and becoming more curious! I will post some updates here but will soon have regular updates for him on his official bluebonnet page! I thank each and every one of you whom has followed me and supported me! I hope yall will enjoy following me and Rigel on this journey to help him be the best version of himself he can be!

I agree with this 100%
Many people I run into when training or giving lessons have such a hard time PRESSING affection on their horses. Not all of them like it! Very few horses ACTUALLY want physical praise when they do well. They normally want to have a moment to understand without us adding more pressure. Let them have a choice and you'd be surprised how much more 'affectionate'these guys can become!

Hello everyone! I recently went and audited the buck brannaman clinic in greensville tx, and had the pleasure of meeting Buck! He is truly a soft and kind horseman and it was a pleasure to listen to him and watch him help folk in person! I learned some new things and am beyond excited to add it to my trunk of skills to better myself so I can continue to be the best I can be at helping you all help your horses!

This session we worked on a few things but mostly stopping, going, contact on the bit, staying square and being guided and gait changes. I show the good and the bad because training any horse whether they be young or old is never a linear process! and those bad days and miscommunication is all a bit part in dealing with horses. it's up to us to keep our cool and figure out how to communicate, and ask the correct questions and in the way they understand to get the very best from them.

Video from about a month ago, when working with a c**t getting him ready to do big boy things! The approach used for this guy was letting him touch everything, smell it, bite it, investigate it and I really pushed for his natural curiosity! In turn he was very trusting and made the first saddling process a breeze.

Hey guys! Forgive me for being MIA lately, but I will be offering basic riding lessons in Madisonville tx! Horses provided! My days avaliable right now will be Wednesday, Thursday and occasional Saturdays! Prices are the same, $65 an hour!

I am also back in the Houston/spring area and so will continue to offer my mobile services within a 45 mile radius of 77386 area code.

Hey guys! It's been a min since I've posted but here is me with Mr. River again! His owner is more comfortable riding english and so my job is to now help River become comfortable and able to ride with consistent contact correctly. This is only the start and he will only get better from here!

Hey everyone! Due to the storms and possible continuation of bad weather tomorrow (sat April 29th) I'll be canceling the lesson meets at Triple j stables tx.

I will still be continuing mobile lessons at private homes and barns in reasonable weather!

Keep a lookout for an announcement as We will be trying again, weather permitting, at a later date!

Hey everyone! I, Kalaiah Y. Willis will be trying something new to gauge whether or not this will be something I offer long term. I will be offering lessons next Saturday (APRIL 29TH, 2023) out of Conroe TX, at Triple J Stables TX!

Lessons at this point in time at the barn will be done on owner horses only!

I will be at the barn by 7:30 am.

Lesson time slots will start at
8:00 AM - Last Lesson time will be 4:00 pm

$65 for those that are hauling in
$55 for boarders of Triple J Stables TX

As with mobile lessons, the higher cost is to offset the price of fuel, travel time, and now, use of the facility.
