Gray Wolf Canine Rehabilitation

Gray Wolf Canine Rehabilitation Houston's Dog Behaviorist Maurice specializes in solving your dog's behavior problems in one, home s Keep your dogs tired and you will have a good dog!
(54)

Maurice Gassiott is a young male from the streets of Houston, Texas, who specializes in Dog Behavior. For the past 6 years he has dedicated himself to learning, understanding, and mastering the art of dog behavior. Working and rehabilitating dogs is a passion of his that money cannot put a price on, his motivation and dedication to it are unique. Maurice brings a different approach when it comes t

o working with what he likes to call the “domesticated wolf”. Because Maurice specializes in dog behavior, majority of the dogs that he works with are aggressive and fearful dogs. He applies a rehabilitation process that comes strictly using dog language. The dog language that he uses is strictly body language, eye contact and what he says is the most important, your own energy. He reminds us that staying “cool, calm, and collective” is the best way to handle any situation and how you handle the situation is what matters in the end. Another way that he works is by approaching a dog by using instincts that Mother Nature has blessed us with. Maurice teaches us that in order to work with a dog, specially a powerful breed like, the American Pit Bull Terrier, American Bully, American Staffordshire Terrier, Staffordshire Bull Terrier, Bull Terrier, and or any “Bully Breed”, is by having the knowledge behind the instinct and reaction of the dog. He also mentions over and over again, how owning a powerful breed requires time and dedication and training for ourselves as owners, handlers, and leaders to have the best behaved dog. A tired dog is the best dog for Maurice, so that being said, exercise is number one on the list for activities to do with your canine companion. In conclusion, Maurice Gassiott is a young guy who dedicates his time to working with the worst of the worst kind of dogs there is. He is the guy you call when multiple people have given up on your dog. He will find an answer and remedy for your dog’s issues and show you how to apply what your dog’s rehabilitation needs. To him, our energy is number one and how we approach the situation. And not to forget, he reminds us how important exercise is for any dog of any breed.

Whats up pack, it's July 4th. You know what that means?!
This is the day when many dog, cats and other animals get lost, or injured trying to escape the loud noises.

To help your dog deal with this day a little easier, go out and exercise your dog and bring them nice and tired.

After the walk, practice some calm exercises so the mind can enter a surrender state. Place work is one of those. It teaches the art of doing nothing. All you need is a bed or towel on the floor and a leash and some treats too.

Practice until you accomplish your goal. That goes is to keep your dog on the space you told them to go stay at and not move until telling them to get off.

Practice, Consistency, & Patience is the way to achieve this goal.

How is a person able to surrender a dog like this to the county shelter and not face any criminal charges?

Bait dogs are rare, and most dogs who are labeled bait dogs are not bait dogs at all.

But this dog definitely has the signs of a true bait dog.

Criminal charges and a home check should be done on the individual who brought this dog in.

We love the shade that the trees provide for us.
Mother nature at her best.

It allows us to be outside and not be affected by the direct sun lights of this Texas sun.

In this video, the dogs pulled a lot more than usual. This is because my cameraman was rollerblading while recording. So naturally, some of the dogs who we rollerblade with on a daily basis would get confused and want to run.

They eventually got the point of what was happening. I just had to stay calm and confident during the transition of their speed adjustment.

Socialization & Play time for the pack

03/27/2024

Socialization / Play time for the behavioral dogs.

The Socialization for these dogs comes after their daily pack walk.

The Pack Walk helps the dogs become one unit, one pack.

That way, when they are socializing, they have drained some energy, practiced following the human, and have also completed a primal activity that fulfills the needs of a migrating animal, the dog.

So remember to practice walking your dog on a daily basis.

Jovi is boarding with us and is looking for his for ever home

🐾 Excuse me! Can I have a moment of your time, PLEASE!!

I'm Jovi. And I'm in a bit of a pickle, as they say. I was found roaming the streets here in Houston, TX some months back. My finder tried and tried to find my people but I had no tags, no microchip, and no one claimed me. I've been in a board and train program for a bit now - compliments of my finder - but my stay here is coming to an end, and I don't yet have a home to go to. I need a foster or an adopter 💥ASAP💥, preferably the later, or I may end up at a shelter!

Is there anyone willing to open their heart and home either as a foster or adopter?? I just need someone to give me a chance. 👉 I'm NOT cat or small animal friendly, but I do well with dogs my size with proper slow introductions.

You can read all my details here: https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1P7agtFJ3wTN1brc/?mibextid=oFDknk

If you are able and willing to foster me, please submit an app:

If you would like to welcome me as a family member, please submit an app on our website:
👉🏼 www.rockabullyaf.org or www.rockabullyaf.org/adoption-application.html or email the crew at [email protected]

🐾 Jovi is currently in a board and train program in Houston, TX with Maurice Gassiott from Gray Wolf Canine Rehabilitation! He is available for local adoption and also for transport to an approved adopter in the NE or PNW 🐾
