Our clinic will be closed for one day, Wednesday June 22, 2022 in honor of Dr. Susan Thomas.
We will resume our normal business hours on Thursday June 23, 2022.

Dear Clients and Fellow Animal Lovers:
It is with a great deal of sadness that we are announcing the unexpected passing of our beloved Dr. Susan Thomas.

As many of you know Dr. Thomas opened Cypresswood Animal Clinic, here in Spring, TX in 1982. She was very proud to have served our community for the last 40 years. This clinic and caring for animals was her greatest passion and her life’s work. She was an exceptional woman, doctor and human being. She will greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

We do want to reassure everyone that Cypresswood Animal Clinic will continue providing the same excellent care for your pets, as we have for the last 40 years; and in our continued work, our staff and doctors will do our very best to honor the legacy Dr. Thomas left.

Microfilaria in the blood

Mosquitos cause this. The little worms in the blood are called microfilaria. They grow to be long invasive worms that invade and reproduce in your pets heart! South Texas doesn’t have a “mosquito season”! We usually have them all year round. It is very important to keep your pets on Heartworm prevention. Even if they are inside pets! It only takes one infected mosquito to bite your pet and cause Heartworms. 🦟🦟🦟
