🎉 Meet Willow! 🎉

We’re so excited to introduce the newest member of the My Family Vet family! 🐾 Our technician Audrey’s parents recently adopted Willow, a sweet 12-week-old Lab mix who is already stealing hearts around here! ❤️

Willow just had her 3rd set of puppy shots today and was SUCH a brave girl! To celebrate, she got a special treat – peanut butter (because who doesn’t love a little snack after a job well done?) 🥜🐶

Let’s all give Willow a warm welcome! We’re sure she’s going to grow up to be a fantastic, well-loved pup. Keep an eye out for more adorable updates as she grows! 📸

In her free time, Megan loves taking her four pups Boone, Samantha, Zoro, and Hazel to the park when Texas weather cooperates! 🌞 A tired puppy is always a happy one, and staying active is key to keeping them healthy and in the best shape.

🎄 Holiday Pet Safety Tip: What’s Okay and Not Okay to Feed Your Pets This Christmas! 🐾🎅

The holidays bring lots of delicious treats, but it’s important to remember that not all human foods are safe for your pets. Here’s a quick guide to help keep your furry friends safe:

✅ Safe (in moderation):
• Plain turkey or chicken (without seasoning or bones)
• Carrots, green beans, or sweet potatoes (cooked, no butter or seasoning)
• Plain, unsweetened pumpkin (good for digestion)

❌ Toxic to Pets:
• Chocolate – even small amounts can be very dangerous!
• Onions, garlic, and chives – can cause severe toxicity
• Grapes and raisins – can lead to kidney failure
• Alcohol – even a small amount is harmful to pets
• Xylitol (found in sugar-free gum and candies) – can cause a dangerous drop in blood sugar

If you’re unsure about a holiday food, it’s best to stick to treats specifically made for pets. Let’s keep our pets safe and happy this Christmas! 🎁🐶🐱
