They are great family pets, but they do have protective instincts! You must be able to control your dog and be a loving, but dominant leader.

Champion bloodline
Loved and lost after 2 years. (No, I never feared him.) The county made me put him down. He was a result of bad breeding. Ensure that you go to a proper breeder. Go to the depths of the ends of the Earth to find out the entire bloodline of your animal, especially when they're claimed to be a champion bloodline. He checked out! However, he had been in several fights on purpose. Vet the circumstances of your breeder. He put me in the hospital twice and was registered by the county as a dangerous dog. He did not bite anyone but me and I had no problems with raising him but the county forced me to put him down and I was devastated. I had to suck it up because I had another presa canario at home. They weren't going to take her from me. VET your breeder. I know a ton of them and if you DM me when you are in the market for one of these dogs, I will steer you and the right direction.
