Had a blast down in Texas the past few days with my dad! Once again did a terrible job remembering to get photos but had some great dog work and even better laughs!

I’m so bad about taking photos while we’re out hunting! We’ve pushed some tough conditions in Kansas and Missouri so far this year, but this little dog never gives up on finding these birds!

Girl has put in some serious work on the first two days of Missouri’s opening season. We’ve found birds both days and she got some great work in on backing. I’m really proud of her.

I firmly believe that “woah” should be the first thing taught to a dog and should be constantly reinforced. I heard this saying before and I got a chuckle out of it. “Which ‘woah’ does your dog stop on?”

This little girl is headed to Texas to be a farm and hunting dog! Wide open space to run all day and birds to chase all winter?? I couldn’t think of a better life for a bird dog!

I’m so happy to announce the first ever litter for OMP! These little dogs are gonna be absolute machines on birds and I can’t wait to see them in action. Whelped on 08/02/2023. Out of Pinehill Elhew Damascus Jud and OMP Girl! With the heavy Elhew blood in them they are not only going to be smooth death on those birds but they’re also going to be a loving member of the family! Very very excited for the future of these pups! 2 males and 2 females are available!

I am thrilled to unveil Ozark Mountain Pointers and continue the legacy and traits of the Elhew.

Bob Wehle set a benchmark with this breed, crafting a unique blend of temperament, style, grace, and loyalty. It's this legacy I aim to continue with my kennel, while introducing a new vision of power and potential.

Ozark Mountain Pointers, anchored by my exceptional dog, OMP Girl, an English Pointer of mixed Elhew lineage is shaping up to be the finest pointer we've had in decades, and it's her prowess that inspired me to start this kennel.

I'm excited to share our first litter is due on August 5th.

This marks the start of my ambition and dream to create a distinct OMP Pointer bloodline - a breed echoing the fine characteristics of the Elhew yet defined by its own strength. Her mate, Pinehill Elhew Damasus Jud, a direct son of Elhew Damasus, brings his impressive power to the lineage. Combined with OMP Girl's relentless hunting drive and sweet temperament, we're expecting pups that will prove to be remarkable hunters. This is the start of a unique legacy, the OMP Pointer bloodline, promising strength, loyalty, and hunting prowess in abundance.
