This beautiful crop has been 5 years in the making! What started as one bulb that was purchased and planted in the fall of 2007 has turned into a crop of plentygood!
We plant the bulbs in Oct/Nov and then harvest the following June. As each crop was harvested the following spring, we would then dry, store, divide and replant.
As of last November when we planted we had 900 cloves to set out!
These beautiful bulbs are now drying in the shed and waiting to be put in your next great recipe!
Check out our website for additional info. www.plentygoodfarm.com

The pears are ready! Seems as if it is a waiting game for the pears to be ripe! We are now picking and they are excellent.
The variety is Magness and they are known for their sweet juicy flavor and smooth flesh. This is the variety that has been used by Ge**er to process for baby food.
They will be available for only a short time and if interested contact Terri to hold your order.
They are $1.00 per pound for number one's and .50 per pound for second's.

08/05/2010

okay...what do you have left for me? Want to do more salsa, green beans and pickles. Let me know what other stuff. Don't mind seconds for tomatoes. Jean said you were low.....

07/28/2010

I had my first harvest of Tubies this morning and I have to share how fun that was for me. These flowers are incredible! The fragrance is deeply sweet and earthy, and the flowers are a pure deep white carried on a very sturdy smooth slick, stem of 2' to 3' tall. Carrying my first bunch to the house with the morning dew sliding across my boots, the flowers in my face and the sunshine on my back was delectable! Michael says I am easily pleased...but ohh the simple things in life are full of warmth!

07/26/2010

The tuberoses are just starting to bloom...just yesterday 2 customers called to tell just how good they smell. We will be selling by the stem and for those who want to plant in their back yard we still have some potted plants for sale!

07/23/2010

tomatoes, peppers, green beans, okra, cucumbers, carrots, basil, and MORE will be available on Monday! Call ahead to reserve!!! Goes Fast!

07/23/2010

noticed that you have tomatoes ready. I have some, but not enough to make a large batch of salsa. What about the seconds? Are they good for salsa making? Pears and Peaches....when will they be ready? What else do you have comming on?
