• Comfortable using the computer to prepare paperwork for check-in/out.
• Spanish/English required.
• Keeping the check-in/check-out process flowing, checking clients' paperwork, accepting payments, making changes, answering questions, and bringing pets in/out of the clinic.
• Keep records organized and filed.
• Helping the medical team if needed (e-collars, towels, laundry).
• Working with Mother Nature (some days may be warm and some cold and wet!)
• Must be highly comfortable handling pets with the ability to lift 40 lbs. unassisted.

Schedule:
* Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday: 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM
* One Friday Monthly: 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM
* One Saturday Monthly: 8:00 AM - 1:00 PM

Most pets panic and bolt when fireworks start popping. 🧨 Please, please put a phone number on your pet. Get some duct tape and a sharpie and put identification on them. Even if you think they can not escape, just do it. Please.

Our local shelters are at maximum capacity and there's no room to house any more animals. Don't let your pet end up at the shelter!

Did you know that retractable leashes can be dangerous? You can get tangled up in the cord and it is a real danger for dogs and people alike. Another thing is your dog may reach the end of the leash and keep running full-speed and this can easily result in you being pulled off of your feet. Choose a standard leash, ensuring an stress-free walk for both you and your furry companion! ❤️

Want to know what goes on behind the scenes at the largest high-volume, high-quality spay/neuter clinic in Arkansas? Unleash your passion for companion animals and join our Volunteer Spay Squad! 😎

We’re looking for someone to assist in the recovery area while animals are waking up from surgery. The hours are on Tuesdays from 10 a.m. until about 2:00 p.m. We’re looking for an empathetic individual with a strong interest in helping pets. We will provide training, but someone with Vet Assistant or Vet Tech training is ideal. Must be able to lift big dogs with help and be comfortable with animals waking up from anesthesia.

In recognition of Pet Preparedness Month, Spay Arkansas is offering microchipping services for just $10 throughout the month of June. Our highly trained team will work with you to ensure that your pet is protected and cared for in the event of an emergency. We can place the chip during surgery or during our vaccine clinic on 6/22 or by walk in on 6/18 from 10 am until noon.

Our hearts are sad for everyone impacted by the storms over the weekend. Spay Arkansas will be closed tomorrow, Tuesday, 5/28. There are so many people unable to make it to our clinic due to storm damage and no electricity. We are reaching out to reschedule appointments. We will have dog food available on Wednesday for those needing dog food. 🤗

Do you have a feral/wild cat in your community? It's only $25 for surgery, a rabies vaccine, and an ear tip—no appointment is required for wild cats in traps.

🐱 The cats must arrive in humane live traps between 8:15-8:30A on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday of each week.
🐱 Appointments are not required for feral cats, but if you’re bringing in more than one, a heads-up is appreciated by emailing Amy at:

🐱 No exceptions to the requirements of being in a trap and receiving an ear tip.

What is a FERAL CAT?
A feral cat is a kitty that has never encountered human interaction or has lost touch with human contact. If they feel threatened, they often can become aggressive. That’s why they need to be in traps at our clinic. It's for everyone's safety.

An ear tip is a visual indicator that a cat has previously been altered. Feral cats can be challenging to get close to; the ear tip can be seen from a distance and helps prevent re-trapping, stress, and anesthesia.

We're back at the clinic this week, and we just finished another day of spaying and neutering.

We are unsure where all the cats are going, but we've had a considerable decrease in cats coming for surgery. We have openings in our schedule this week and next week. Please email Amy at [email protected] to schedule. Or schedule online. All cats need to weigh 3 lbs and arrive in a carrier. It's $25 for surgery & a rabies vaccine.
