This years Giant Day Gecko’s have started to hatch! Such tiny little things. 🥹
We have 5 more eggs in the incubator, two of which were laid yesterday. Going to have a steady stream of cuteness for the next few months!

The babies are here!!
This year unfortunately hasn’t been as good in terms of success rate. 🥺 It happens sometimes. 🤷🏻♀️
These four babies are from the Pixel (Miami Tessera het Cinder) and Captain (Cinder Tessera) pairing. I was hoping to prove out some hets, but so far these are the only ones to have made it from the 15 egg clutch that was laid. 😞
However, they are all happy and healthy Cinder Tesseras though! Possible Supers as well. 😉 Time will tell if theyre Hypo Cinders.
Ill definitley be repeating all the same pairings later this year, after the females have time to recover.

While headed out camping for the weekend, we came across this GORGEOUS Northern Pacific Rattlesnake!
Always a highlight when you come across such cool wildlife.
We kept our distance and encouraged it back across the dirt road so it souldnt get squished!

Ruby finally decided to grace us with some eggs!
After we moved her and Emerald (both Giant Day Geckos) into a bigger enclosure, it took her quite a while to get settled. Now that she has though, we know where to look! She likes to lay in the same spot each time, which is very helpful.

Cleaning day video part 2!
Someone who doesn’t get a lot of attention is Calypso, our 2009 Hogg Island/Argentine Boa Constrictor.
At 15 years old, shes only about 4 feet long. Her coloring is so unique too! She changes from light brown and pink to dark mahogany and black depending on the time of day.
We arent normally hybrid fans, but she was my first boa so she holds a special place in my heart. - Emily
