Our little family of eleven, four hoomans and nine floofs, welcome you to our business page. Thank you so much for taking time out of your busy day and showing interest to check out our animal products. We have owned chinchillas for almost three decades and are obsessed with our chinchillas, who have completely stolen our hearts! For many years we have been collecting, cutting, scrubbing, boiling

and baking our own wood products for our fur babies to chew. Living in Oregon we are surrounded by an abundance of orchards and farms growing organic trees and organic herbs. We are blessed with family and friends who are more than happy to let us prune their fruit trees and take a workload off of them. In the early months of 2022, our daughter Taylor asked if we could cut more product and sell it to help other chinchillas have healthy chews that are delicious and high quality. Taylor was concerned and had began to notice how there were many unsafe and unhealthy products being advertised on the internet and in stores. We have always taught our children they can do anything they set their minds to and loved seeing Taylor's ambition and kind heart. My husband and I were thrilled to help Taylor attain her dream of becoming a small business owner selling healthy and safe products for chinchillas. This is such an exciting adventure for our family and we hope you love our products as much as we love making them for you. Meet the President, Taylor (age 15): Hi, I am so happy to be able to connect with you and share my love for chinchillas and art through my products. I am a sophomore in high school. I participate in choir, theater, art, volunteering with children, track & field and swim team. My favorite things to do in my spare time are playing with my animals, camping, singing, traveling, long boarding, swimming, running, creating art and hanging out in the great outdoors with my friends and family. Since my business opened in October of 2022, I have been paying close attention and learning a lot about economics using this real life experience of running a business by managing and recording the finances with my mom. I have been learning about how to effectively communicate with clients and I have good news for you! I could likely be messaging you soon to take orders and assist. Don't be surprised! I have learned the importance of delivering consistent and high-quality products. I've noticed my paying attention to the details and showing how much I care is loved by our clients. I appreciate you and look forward to creating orders for you and your chinchillas! Meet the Vice President, Suzie (age 38): Hi, I am Taylor's mom and am here to support and encourage her on this exciting journey. I am happily married to my best friend, Matt, and am the lucky mama of two amazing children, Taylor(15) and Dylan(9). I homeschool my son and work as a part-time bookkeeper from home. I have a huge sense of adventure and am very family-oriented. In my spare time you can find me out exploring in nature, hiking, camping, traveling, playing ping-pong, playing volleyball, playing basketball, cooking, reading, playing the piano and nurturing my inner nerd by putting together extremely difficult micro mini brick builds or LEGO bricks. I am appreciative for the role I am able to play in this business and look forward to helping put a smile on your face and your adorable fur babies faces!

Happy Valentine’s Day to you and your floofs!

This last week we got to prune a high quality willow tree! This tree has curly wood and is a favorite amongst our chinnie clientele. One of our arborist friends was kind enough to drop off a load of freshly pruned organic apple and pear sticks to us as well. This week has been a fun week for our family. Taylor nailed her school finals and competed in a swim meet Friday. Taylor pr’d in both the 50 meter and 100 meter freestyle! Today Dylan and his team, The Court Destroyers, won their first basketball game of the season! Cold days are great for boiling, baking wood and cuddling kitties. 💕 😻

Rest assured, when ordering from us you are choosing the best quality wood chews for your floofs. Our family sources the wood for safety, prunes the trees and fully processes the wood so they are ready to chew when they arrive at your door. We take pride in being more thorough, more hands on and more meticulous than most companies who sell wood chews. Many companies source their wood from China which is not good quality wood. Many companies don’t properly dry their wood which creates mold issues. Other companies take short cuts by only rinsing and baking the wood so you are left with a bunch of gross things still on the wood and your chinchilla eats it. 🤮 🪵 🐜 💩 🤢

We take the time to rinse(as many times as needed)scrub, boil, boil again and bake until dry. We store the processed wood inside our home to keep it nice until shipping to our clients. This process is an act of love because it is beyond time-consuming. We do it for the chinnies. ❤️

Our family’s first pruning session of winter, 2025. Winter is the best time of year to prune fruit trees for the flavor. There are more sugars stored up in the wood and the lack of leaves on the branches speeds up our processing time.

We’d like to thank mom & dad/gma & gpa, their neighbor and a friend in Eugene for the high quality product we pruned this weekend. When all was completed, we ended up with a truck load of grapevine and a couple truckloads of apple and pear wood.

We are grateful to everyone who has ordered from us and continues to follow and support our small, family business. It is our joy to get to work with you! 🥹

Starting today our business is closing down for a holiday break and will not be accepting new orders until we open back up on January 6th, 2025. If you have an existing order, we are continuing to work on it and will be in touch about shipping as usual. Chinchilla Tail Hold Training.
Chinchilla Tail Hold Training.

Here’s a good way to gently ease you and your chinchilla into getting used to the tail hold. If they chirp or scream it’s okay. Stay calm and show confidence even if you are worried. They aren’t actually in pain they are throwing a fit. Repeat a couple of times each day until both you and your chinchilla are comfortable with the tail hold. You can give a tiny treat after each session to teach your chinnie this is a positive experience.

This is the best way to grab a chinchilla to ensure they don’t get injured. It’s important to master the tail hold. You never know when you might need to use it to protect your chinnie from jumping out of their cage, running somewhere unsafe or if they need medical care, to name a few possibilities.
