Our little family of eleven, four hoomans and nine floofs, welcome you to our business page. Thank you so much for taking time out of your busy day and showing interest to check out our animal products. We have owned chinchillas for almost three decades and are obsessed with our chinchillas, who have completely stolen our hearts! For many years we have been collecting, cutting, scrubbing, boiling

and baking our own wood products for our fur babies to chew. Living in Oregon we are surrounded by an abundance of orchards and farms growing organic trees and organic herbs. We are blessed with family and friends who are more than happy to let us prune their fruit trees and take a workload off of them. In the early months of 2022, our daughter Taylor asked if we could cut more product and sell it to help other chinchillas have healthy chews that are delicious and high quality. Taylor was concerned and had began to notice how there were many unsafe and unhealthy products being advertised on the internet and in stores. We have always taught our children they can do anything they set their minds to and loved seeing Taylor's ambition and kind heart. My husband and I were thrilled to help Taylor attain her dream of becoming a small business owner selling healthy and safe products for chinchillas. This is such an exciting adventure for our family and we hope you love our products as much as we love making them for you. Meet the President, Taylor (age 14): Hi, I am so happy to be able to connect with you and share my love for chinchillas and art through my products. I am finishing my freshman year of high school and will be going into 10th grade this Fall. I participate in choir, theater, art, volunteering with children and track & field. My favorite things to do in my spare time are playing with my animals, camping, singing, traveling, long boarding, swimming, running, creating art and hanging out in the great outdoors with my friends and family. Since my business opened in October of 2022, I have been paying close attention and learning a lot about economics using this real life experience of running a business by managing and recording the finances with my mom. I have been learning about how to effectively communicate with clients and I have good news for you! I could likely be messaging you soon to take orders and assist. Don't be surprised! I have learned the importance of delivering consistent and high-quality products. I've noticed my paying attention to the details and showing how much I care is loved by our clients. I appreciate you and look forward to creating orders for you and your chinchillas! Meet the Vice President, Suzie (age 38): Hi, I am Taylor's mom and am here to support and encourage her on this exciting journey. I am happily married to my best friend, Matt, and am the lucky mama of two amazing children, Taylor(14) and Dylan(9). I homeschool my son and work as a part-time bookkeeper from home. I have a huge sense of adventure and am very family-oriented. In my spare time you can find me out exploring in nature, hiking, camping, traveling, playing ping-pong, playing volleyball, playing basketball, cooking, reading, playing the piano and nurturing my inner nerd by putting together extremely difficult micro mini brick builds or LEGO bricks. I am appreciative for the role I am able to play in this business and look forward to helping put a smile on your face and your adorable fur babies faces!

Help us wish our mama/gma, Debi Jordan Schiedler, the happiest of birthdays! Life is much better with her in our lives. She is a wonderful gma to all our floofs too!

These past few weeks have been jam-packed with fun and activities. Taylor went to a youth camp, had a friend over to visit and went on two extended family camping trips. She also attended yet ANOTHER family reunion yesterday. 😂

Today, she and I are working on processing sticks for clients. Even with all the fun plans, Taylor has been consistently finding time to work through many custom toy orders. What are some “best practices” you would teach another person with a pet chinchilla? Please reply with your best practice suggestions in the comments.

Our best practice suggestion: Instead of having one shape or surface of ledge in the cage, provide multiple shapes and surfaces. Chinchillas are healthier and function best with calloused, strong feet. They benefit greatly from using(therefore building)their foot muscles in a variety of poses consistently. Keeping their feet healthy, strong and calloused helps protect chinchilla feet and causes them to be less prone to injury. You can use lava ledges, wood perches, wood stairs, metal ledges, smooth wood ledges, wood ledges with bark, anti-pill fleece hammocks, clay pots, metal tubes, anti-pill fleece covered tubes, gallon wide-rimmed glass mason jars, wood huts, metal huts, sky bridges, etc.

We take what we put into our chinchilla's bodies seriously, which is the leading reason we are in business today. Taylor wanted to be able to provide safe options to chinchillas since most stores in person and online offer unhealthy, unsafe items targeted for chinchillas. In these stores you won't have to look hard to find vegetables, nuts and fruit packed treats for chinchillas. None of these are safe options and shouldn't be given.

Chinchillas thrive on bland diets of unlimited quality pellets and hay. If you'd like to treat your chinchilla occasionally and in moderation, some safe options are as follows: organic herbs, organic flowers, organic rolled oats, an occasional plain cheerio, an occasional plain shredded wheat, an organic goji berry(once a month), organic bee pollen granules, critical care cookies, chinchilla pops and dumbbells with critical care.

We will be adding hanging toys here so clients can see some of our work. We specialize in making custom orders for our floof clients with all sorts of toy designs best suited to the specific chinchilla and/or owner's preference. All the toy parts we use are used regularly by our own five chinchillas. If you don't feel comfortable with a particular type of chew, food dye, or anything of concern to you, we can leave it off. Feel free to reach out to ask us questions and to learn more about what we can do to personalize orders for your chinchillas or to ask about the toy designs we currently have. Making toys is the most fun aspect of our business because we get to use our minds and fingers to create!

We source locally and prune organic, untreated trees and fully process your wood chews from start to finish. They are safe and ready to eat when you receive them! The process we take is as follows: prune, cut, scrub, rinse, air dry, boil, boil again, bake, cool down, check and weigh. Every piece of wood is inspected personally by us multiple times before going out in an order. This is time consuming but we take quality and safety seriously. We store our sticks in boxes, containers and paper bags to allow plentiful airflow to prevent them from growing mold. We recommend stirring your boxes, bags of sticks you order from us once a week to maintain freshness and quality.

We will be closed to communications Saturday-Monday for a family camping trip. We will get back to work this coming Tuesday. 😊

Our family has been staying productive these last couple of weeks. Taylor got home from her travels to Idaho and has spent much of her time making toys and cutting sticks for the business. Taylor’s favorite thing to do in her business is creating custom toys and having free reign to design. She is quite the artist and works well into the late hours often to get these orders completed so she can hang out with friends during the day. She’s doing a wonderful job!

Dylan has attended two basketball camps, one after the other, and has performed well in each camp. He was awarded camper of the week for his work ethic, attitude, leadership skills and effort at the Larry Steele Camp! That is a high honor at this camp and says a lot about who Dylan is as a person and shows his dedication to basketball. Good job buddy!

Here is a conglomeration of photos of some toys Taylor has made this week and of Dylan at camp. We haven’t updated you guys in quite a while about our kittens so we added some pictures of them for your enjoyment too! They are almost sixteen weeks old. We are enjoying each kitten and their individual personalities. 💗

This is a great magazine you can sign up for about chinchillas to help educate yourself. The goal is to teach owners, rescues and breeders internationally about the best standard, proper care of chinchillas and to help make accurate chinchilla knowledge more widespread. I’d like to personally thank all of you for your patience these last couple of weeks while we take a small break to catch up on other tasks that are time sensitive. We’ve been filling orders from before our break but it’s been slow going. Some of you may know I(Suzie)am a bookkeeper and teach my son school. Taxes are due March 15th and everything needs to be in order sooner for my bookkeeping job. I’d originally planned on receiving more help to push out current chinchilla orders from miss Taylor, but life has a funny way of changing when you least expect it. 😆 Taylor chose to start attending a public high school full-time on February 5th. She jumped right into the swing of things with a full class schedule and by signing up for track and field. Taylor was then invited by her choir teacher to audition for a part in the Mary Poppins musical production her school is hosting. Taylor was one of the lucky students to get picked for a part. I’m so proud of her! 😁 Now, here’s the catch….Taylor is gone Monday-Friday for more than 12 hours. 😬 After school, she partakes in track and then goes to theater practice to prepare for the Mary Poppins show. Don’t worry, we aren’t going anywhere! I just wanted to give you all some personal details so you can better understand our time constraints. I’m currently brainstorming to come up with new solutions to manage my time better while taking most of Taylor’s work load off of her so she can focus on her grades and extracurricular activities. If you feel up to it, I’m sure Taylor would appreciate shout outs and encouragement in the comments on this post. She feels bad she can’t put as much time into the chinnie business and even offered to quit one or both of her activities. I’ve told her since what she’s doing is making her happy, then it is exactly where she needs to be. I’ll do anything I can to support her fulfilling her dreams.❤️
