Our horses are hardly ever stalled - just briefly for vitamins or grooming - but they still know exactly which stall belongs to them.

Watch closely: Wrong stall ➝ verbal correction ➝ immediate understanding.

Horses have amazing memory, spatial awareness, and understand verbal cues better than most people think.

And yes… they do listen. ❤️ They also make us laugh a lot.

And to be fair—I scolded her because she does know better and was definitely thinking about stealing someone else’s feed. She knew it wasn’t hers. 😂

Hope you guys enjoy the sleepy videos—because that’s basically winter life over here. Sleep, play, eat, repeat 😂 I’ll try to share more playtime too, but the peaceful naps get me every time. Horses are just so relaxed and full of love.

23 years of trust, love, and care—since the day he was born. Like the sun, his strength has only grown over time. Grateful for every moment with him.
UPDATE - guys this post is just a sweet video of the bond we share and him going to sleep. Not being put to sleep!! 😳😭😮‍💨 Sorry for any confusion this video caused. He is alive and ready to enjoy more days ahead.

Family owned since 1958, in a Beautiful location near the Sangamon River. Tom & Connie Mulcahy have built a wonderful place to relax and watch nature, and enjoy the great outdoors. We have bred and raised 16 foals of our own, here at Riverside Stables, most still used for Trail Rides, Riding Lessons, Horse Camp, Birthday Parties, Field Trips, etc. We have a marvelous 5 star horse facility. What ever your horsemanship needs, whether you are a first time rider looking for a scenic trail ride along the gorgeous Sangamon River, or a horse lover wanting to take lessons, or an experienced rider searching for a great place to board your horse, we are here to help. We also offer Canoe/Kayak Rentals. We have amazing facilities for any occasion, Private Parties, Family Reunions, Field Trips, Church Groups, Scouts, or whatever, looking for something new and exciting, we offer an excellent place for anyone to make exceptional memories.
