WE HAD A BOTFLY LARVAE CASE YESTERDAY!
Anyone in vet med will tell you, removing botfly larvae is one of the most satisfying things in the world.
We had a beautiful kitten present yesterday with a wonderful family who were very concerned about a bad wound on it's neck.
One look and we could see something moving inside the hole!
Here is a video of removal and inspection of the wound following.
This kitten will make a full recovery and is lucky to have such a great family!

We treat Colony Cats!
There are many feral colony cats around Springfield, and tons of dedicated community members are doing the best they keeping them healthy!
Laceration repairs, abscess ruptures, hit by car injuries, severe upper respiratory infections, and skin issues keep these kids coming back in on a regular basis!
Routine care - preventatives, spay/neuter, and deworming - are available here too, so when we get the chance, we take advantage of them under sedation and get as much done as we can!
Give us a call if you have a cat in your colony that is struggling and you want to bring them in for an appointment or just walk right in when you catch them!
