Well said🙌
Let’s talk training!!!!!
I am going to try to break this down as easy as possible. Horses, just like kids will all learn and excel differently. So when I explain, I always try to go by the school rule:
1-elementary school
2-middle school
3-high school
4-career
Time frames on horses are different of course, so let’s just say for a horse:
Age 2-3: elementary
Age 4-5: middle
Age 6-7: high
Age 8+: career
It takes 8 years sometimes more for a horse to get to a career level! Meaning they know exactly what to do, how to do it, when to do it and stay consistent about it.
Are there exceptions to the rule, yeah, but very few. So just remember when you send your future super star off for 60, 90 or 120 days: think of this timeline 🔝
Young horses are not cut out for everyone, they take A LOT of time, dedication, patience, knowledge, riding experience and money. If you don’t have those qualities or can get access to people who do….you may just want to spend the money on a horse that matches your level.
