We work with anyone between the ages of 4-99 focusing on what people CAN do! Our therapeutic lessons are for children and adults who have a physical, developmental, or emotional disability. For this we also offer either group or individual lessons. Our individual lessons are case specific for each individual depending on what they needs or goals are while also teaching the basic riding skills. At

Our instructor has been riding and working with horses for 23 years and has participated in many different disciplines from competitive trail, trail riding, equitation, western and is an award winning dressage rider. She also has 15 years of experience working with both children and adults with and without disabilities. She has also been trained in therapeutic riding through PATH International.

Sweet Fiona started giving lessons to a young gentleman about 4 weeks ago and today the Shared Living Provider shared how much improvement they have seen in him both physically and emotionally. He already has improved posture and range of motion in his shoulders which helps him in his daily life skills . He is also much more respectful about personal space both recognizing his own and others. We love to hear news like this!!! And of course Fiona is thrilled to be such a positive part of his life ❤️

National Therapy Animal Day
a day dedicated to celebrating all therapy animals around the nation and all the volunteering they do ... Here at Dream On Curls .. we especially applaud all our therapy horses - past and present - always patient and kind facilitating miracles ~ bringing comfort to all those in need..
In answer to the question - how much weight can a therapy horse carry ??
A horse can carry an infinite amount.
They can carry the weight of broken hearts, broken homes, and broken bodies. Countless tears sometimes comb their tangled manes. There are moments when parents and friends cannot be there to help and hold a person; horses embrace and empower. They carry physical, mental, and emotional handicaps. They carry hopes and dreams and they will carry the stress from your day when you can’t carry it anymore.
They carry graduations. They carry new careers. They carry moves away from everything familiar. They carry marriages,. They carry divorces. They carry funerals. They carry babies before they are born, and sometimes they carry the mothers who cannot carry their own baby. They carry mistakes. They carry joy. They carry the good and they carry the bad. They carry drugs and addictions, but they also carry the celebrations.
They will carry you to success when all you have felt is failure. They will carry you, never knowing the weight of your burdens and triumphs.
If you let them, they will carry you through life, and life is hard. Life is heavy. But a horse will make you feel weightless under it all
We witness this every day with our lesson horses and their riders/handlers.

OYY Celine of Legends has been a therapy horse for ground work. We plan on moving her up to a mounted therapy horse very soon. Today we practiced the mount and unbalanced dismount. I think she's ready.

Day 7 ~ Even with an exciting decorated indoor space and colorful garland on our horse- we still need to stay with routine... thorough grooming, tacking up -- then a walk around in the saddle...

Merengue joins the special Therapy Horse Clan ... Her aunt Fiona and Sister Majorca are already special members of this outstanding group of therapy curly horses... Looks like Merengue will step right up into her calling ~ Dream On Curls Riding Center is blessed to have such exceptional therapy equine "team" .. all born right here at Top O' The Hill Farm !

New Participant today .. OYY Classy Castilla was the perfect lesson pony for quiet therapeutic grooming. This person loves horses and will be coming every week. This activity not only is something she enjoys but will build and maintain range of motion and core strength which will assist in maintaining her quality of life. Am proud of what we accomplish here -- and applause to our rock star Curly lesson ponies !
