Job Description: Dog Kennel Reservations Specialist
Position/Front Desk:
A Dog Kennel Reservations Specialist is responsible for providing excellent customer service while managing reservation requests, inquiries, and scheduling for a stay with us.. This role involves interacting with pet owners, ensuring accurate documentation, and coordinating with the kennel team to guarantee a smooth and enjoyable experience for all pets and their owners.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service: Respond promptly and professionally to inquiries via phone, email, through our app, and in-person visits regarding kennel services, pricing, availability, and policies.
Reservations Management: Handle booking requests, cancellations, and modifications efficiently while maintaining accurate records in the reservation system.
Client Relations: Build trust and rapport with pet owners by addressing their concerns, understanding their pets’ needs, and offering personalized solutions.
Administrative Duties: Maintain an organized scheduling system, collect and update client information, and ensure all required pet documentation (e.g., vaccination records) is current.
Team Coordination: Communicate special pet requirements (e.g., dietary restrictions, medical conditions) to the kennel team to ensure proper care.
Having knowledge and explaining packages and extras that we offer to our guests. : Inform clients about additional services such as Grooming, Daycare, Exit Baths, or extended stays to enhance their experience.
Problem-Solving: Address and resolve any issues or complaints promptly and professionally to maintain customer satisfaction.
Skills and Qualifications
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Exceptional organizational abilities and attention to detail.
Familiarity with scheduling software or reservation systems (training may be provided).
Patience and empathy when dealing with pet owners and their concerns.
Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of pet care, behavior, and kennel operations is a plus.
Preferred Experience
Previous experience in customer service, hospitality, or pet care industries.
Proficiency in using computer systems for scheduling and client management.
This role is perfect for individuals passionate about animals, enjoy working in a customer-focused environment, and excel in organization and communication.
This position will be primarily morning and every other Sat morning with a day off during the week on that Sat rotation. About 25 hours a week and up to 32 in high season. It starts at $15 an hour and training on our software and systems will be provided.

Today, we are publicly sharing some unfortunate news about a beloved member of our Bone-a-Fido family.

On December 9th, Rashaad, who has been a dedicated part of our team for over a decade, was seriously injured while attempting to stop a break-in of his mother's car at his residence. This incident led to him being hospitalized and requiring emergency surgery, with a long recovery ahead.

Rashaad has been an invaluable part of our team, and during this challenging time, we are reaching out to our loyal clients, customers, and friends for support.

His injuries have left him unable to work, and he and his family are now in need of financial assistance. We kindly ask you to consider contributing to help supplement Rashaad’s income and support his family as he focuses on his recovery. Your generosity and compassion are greatly appreciated.
