The Good Boys

All of these boys handle beautifully.
Sweet , friendly, and a joy to be around!

* Clifford (black/white)short, stocky)
* Saint(Reddish tan)
* Link (Black, looking for a place to jump in)
* Scooby (Tan, in th background)

Many people asked how Clifford would do with another dog—and he did just fine!
He’s a little socially awkward and could use some training and guidance, but he doing his best.

Saint and Link really shine with their excellent social skills and confidence around other dogs.

The Goodest Boy Award goes to Scooby! He reads other dogs’ body language and social cues quite well and adjusts his behavior accordingly.

Come out and meet the boys today!

Wishing you a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!

May your day be full of wagging tails, happy purrs, and lots of cuddles.

SCAC will re-open at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, December 26.

We can’t wait to see you!

We hope everyone had a happy and safe holiday.

Just a reminder to create a safe space for your dog or cat where they can get away when they are feeling overwhelmed.

𝗖𝗛𝗥𝗜𝗦𝗧𝗠𝗔𝗦 𝗜𝗦𝗡’𝗧 𝗠𝗔𝗚𝗜𝗖𝗔𝗟 𝗙𝗢𝗥 𝗘𝗩𝗘𝗥𝗬 𝗣𝗘𝗧

While we’re rushing, wrapping, hosting, and pushing through the last to-do list…
many animals are already at capacity.

New people.
Loud voices.
Unfamiliar smells.
Food everywhere.
Routines gone.

What feels festive to us can feel overwhelming - even frightening - to them.

Christmas isn’t about perfect photos or forcing tolerance.
It’s about safety.
Choice.
And protecting nervous systems that don’t understand why the world suddenly exploded.

If your pet needs space, that’s not a problem to fix. If they skip the cuddle, hide under the bed, or avoid the chaos, that’s communication.

The kindest thing you can give your animal this Christmas isn’t more stimulation.

It’s permission to opt out.

Quiet rooms.
Predictable routines.
Gentle handling.
And zero expectations.

Because love doesn’t look like forcing joy.
It looks like respecting space

Support your pet through the holidays.

Happy Holidays!
