🌟 The Downtown Dog: Exploring Cabela’s! 🌟
Today, our Downtown Dog obedience class took an exciting field trip to Cabela’s! 🐾 This class is perfect for dogs who have already established basic obedience and are ready to take their skills to the next level.
Through real-world practice, we focus on proofing obedience, building reliability in public settings, and growing your dog’s confidence in new and sometimes challenging environments. From navigating new sights, sounds, and smells to practicing commands around distractions, this class is all about helping your dog thrive outside the home.
Instructor approval is required to attend this class. If you and your dog are ready for the next step in training, reach out to us to learn more or to see if this class is a good fit for you!
Let’s get out there and train! 💪🐶

✨ Lodge and Learn Update: Lydia & Roscoe! ✨
In today’s session, Lydia and Roscoe teamed up to practice impulse control, sit-stays, down-stays, heeling, and recall! Both are making fantastic progress, learning to stay focused, calm, and responsive, even with each other nearby.
These two are building strong foundations that will make a world of difference for their families. We’re so proud of their focus and dedication—stay tuned for more updates as they continue their Lodge and Learn journeys! 🐾
Maisie Mae learning orbit!
🐾 Watch Maisie Mae, our Service Dog in Training (SDiT), learning a new skill: crowd control!🐾
Maisie Mae is working on “crowd control” using a combination of luring and free shaping. This exercise is helping her learn how to create space for her owner in crowded areas, an essential skill for a service dog. She’s already making huge strides in building confidence and staying neutral, no matter what’s happening around her!
Training goals for Maisie Mae include rock-solid neutrality to everything, calm handling during any situation (even at the vet!), and building her confidence so she’s ready for any environment. Step by step, she’s learning the focus, patience, and poise that will make her an incredible support for her handler.
Check out her progress, and let us know if you're interested in learning more about our Service Dog Training Program!
