Meet Emmie! Emmie is a 1-year-old 55lb American Blue Heeler mix. She’s an active dog that would be perfect for anyone looking for the ultimate adventure partner! Emmie loves exploring the creek and going on hikes. She goes out on adventures regularly with our volunteers and is a well-behaved gal.
Emmie is incredibly sweet and playful, and she loves attention and affection. She is dog-friendly and would just prefer no cats in her future home. Emmie is very friendly but due to her size and activity level, she’d do best with older children if there are any in the home. If you’re looking for an adventurous and fun dog who you can take running, hiking, or just out and about, Emmie could be the match for you!

Rescue Recess: Boomer Edition! 🔔🐾🎉
Boomer recently had the chance to go explore the town on a fun day out with some of our incredible volunteers! Boomer is a 9-year-old Terrier mix available for adoption at our shelter. He's house-trained, walks great on a leash, and is so ready to find his forever person! He is dog-friendly and older kid-friendly. The one thing Boomer asks is there are no cats in his future home, as he's just not a fan of cats.
As a small/medium-sized dog weighing about 46 pounds, he would be a great fit for a multitude of homes. He's always up for an adventure, but he also loves to just relax and lounge around! He's a sweet boy with the brightest spirit, and we know he will bring lots of love and laughter to his future family!

We have good news - Ted was adopted! We teased his Rescue Recess video, but he was adopted before we had the chance to share it. We figured we'd go ahead and show you where all he got to explore on his day out as a celebration of his adoption! 🎉

Krypto was found as a stray, and he’s been nothing but a sweetheart in his short time with us thus far. He seems to be house-trained, walks well on a leash, and is just missing his forever human. Harvey would enjoy being your one and only pet, and he would do best in a home with no children since he has some body sensitivity. He's been out on some adventures with staff, and he is a model pet! He truly is a big love bug and wants nothing more than a forever family to love on. ❤️
