Week 5 of 6 of Positively STAR Puppies. Our next series starts on February 25th.

Class Description:

Positively Puppies is a class for puppies up to 6 months of age at the start of the class using positive reinforcement and clickers. Lessons include basic cues such as sit, down, and stand. Other topics include potty training, nipping and chewing, walking politely on a leash, greetings, socialization with non-family dogs and people, body handling, and a few fun tricks. Your puppy will also work on obtaining their AKC Star Puppy Certificate.

Week four of our Comforting Canines class. This is an excellent class if you are interested in pet therapy! Our instructors have real life experience and have been very active in pet therapy for over 10 years.

This class offers both classroom work and on the job training at facilities in Springfield. Classroom work includes practice in our training room and our pet therapy room, as seen in the photos.

Celebrate National Pie Day with your pups! 🐶🥧
Pet Safe Pumpkin Pie!

Ingredients:
Crust
¾ cup Oat Flour
½ cup Unsweetened Applesauce
1 Egg
Filling
¾ cup Pumpkin Puree
1 Egg
¼ teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
Topping:
¼ cup Plain Greek Yogurt
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350°F.
Crust:
In a mixing bowl, combine oat flour, applesauce, and egg.
Place approximately 1 tablespoon of the crust mixture into each cup in a one dozen mini muffin pan.
Use a small spoon to press down the center of the mixture and up around the sides to form a shallow well.
Bake crusts for 8 minutes. Then remove the pan from oven.

Tonight our Comforting Canines Pet Therapy class did some “on the job” training at Sylvan Learning Center. When not hearing fantastic stories, teams worked on loose leash walking, stays and managing distractions. They also met a curious rabbit, offering an opportunity to work on “leave it.”
