Deer were a common sight around this place over the years. Especially during cold weather. I sit at the top of the draw that runs down to the river. The most whitetails I ever counted was just over 70 feeding around the house and under the apple trees on a cold day in January. The last several years I have seen less and less. Now for the first time I don't see any deer around here. A few are down by the river.

Someone wanted to know if I had ever seen a deer where the beam tips actually touched. Only one.

On caping the deer, you can also cut legs off and just pop the skin over and avoid the connecting cut. Don't let hang too long in this weather.

Thank you all for you service.
