We had a lovely visit from this family of pups today! They came in to be microchipped before heading to their new homes!

Microchipping is a FANTASTIC service we offer at the shelter. This ensures that if your pet goes missing, they will be returned to you FASTER!

If you are interested in getting your pet microchipped, please give us a call to schedule an appointment! Price $25 for implantation and registration.

Meet Ivan, the Brussels Griffon mix with a personality that's bigger than his 17-pound frame! This 4-year-old goofball loves playing with other dogs and had a blast on his playdate with Nova. However, he's not exactly the best cat whisperer, so a feline-free home is a must. Ivan's a high-energy boy who's always up for a walk, and he's pretty sure the key to happiness is a day filled with pets, treats, and a comfy bed. He's looking for a small dog lover who can appreciate his unique brand of crazy.

Your ticket could warm not only your wallet but also the hearts of animals in need at the Springfield Humane Society. Every dollar raised will help keep our furry friends warm and safe during the cold winter months. Let's come together to ensure no animals feels the chill. The Raffle will run from December 1st, 2025 through April 1st, 2026.

🏆Drawing will be April 2nd, 2026 at 8am!
🎟️Tickets are $1 each or $5 for 6 tickets, $10 for 12 tickets, and so on.

🌟We are getting excited for Santa's arrival on December 6th and December 13th! 🌟

🎅Santa will be available to take wishes and photos with children and pets with their families at the Springfield Humane Society on December 6th and 13th from 11-2pm (Santa 11-1pm only)!

📷 Photos are available in a few different ways:
💚emailed photos: $ donation of your choosing
❤️printed photos: $ donation ($5 minimum)
💛printed photo with keepsake ornament for decorating: $10

🐶🐱Pets attending this event MUST be either in a crate at arrival or on a leash (no retractable leashes please) and MUST be animal and people friendly! (any pet that is behaving in an unsafe manner may be asked to leave the event)

🌟The shelter will be open for visiting animals starting at 12pm!

Please note: To avoid long wait times:

Family guy with no family, lets fix this!! Royce is a 7 year old labradoodle. He is a very sweet boy with amazing manners. Dogs walkers describe him as a gentleman who walks well on a leash and is a lot of fun to play ball with. He is a staff favorite, and once you meet him you'll know why! Royce has lived with kids in his previous home, but never with other pets. He is shy around new dogs, but does open up after a few minutes. He ignored the cats he met here, and we have brought him into the cat rooms a few times. Royce’s hair is starting to grow back after having been shaved due to being badly matted. He also just had entropion surgery and is recovering well. If you've never owned a labradoodle please look into the cost of grooming. If you have had one you know how amazing they are and Royce is no exception! He is a wonderful companion ready to bring joy to his forever home.
