Hello Everyone,

Northwest Naturals has voluntarily recalled two different date codes of their Raw Turkey Cat Food after a positive test for HPAI (avian influenza). Here’s a quick summary of what we know:

Production Details: Both date codes come from the same production batch.
USDA Standards: The turkey is sourced from a USDA-inspected supplier and manufactured in a USDA-certified facility.

Pathogen Control: NWN uses High-Pressure Cold Processing (HPCP) to reduce pathogens.

Returned Products: We’ve only had one bag returned so far, and we’re unsure how many recalled products were received in total.

We understand this can be unsettling—our pets are family. As a fellow raw feeder, I still have confidence in the benefits of raw feeding. We’ll share further updates as they become available.
