Dogs can be such characters…I often wonder what goes thru their heads! Oliver was learning to wait for permission to take treats today. He was already at the point where he could ignore a whole pile of them on the floor (will put that video in comments), but if the treat was right under his nose, his hound self had a really hard time with self control! So what does he decide to do? Keep turning his nose away from temptation!

My dog Captain’s favorite indoor game is to find a toy (and then play with it!). Often, he makes quick work of it, but here, he worked hard for finding “Süni,” the hedgehog! You can see how methodically he works bedroom, closet, bathroom, until he finally picks up the scent (which is not very strong…I only had Süni in my hand for a few seconds before hiding it) and works it all out. ”

Great handling skills and one smart pup! Lola learns to touch her nose to a target stick. Notice how the tugging before the training commences has her pumped up and focused! (This is a skill we worked on in this class.) Other notables: she actually waits for the “touch” command each time; great recovery when she gets confused for a moment; finishing strong and delivering a jackpot! Well done! 👏👏👏
